well First im Contfighterus from BEfallen Serker lvl 70 SK pre EoF i invested heavily on making my SK a tank, now ive switched guilds and they allrdy have to many Tanks. In raids depending on groups i can parse anywere from 800-1000 DPS but i hear we can go as high as 1.5k to even2k just curious if tehre is cuirtain items u have or if a curtain line of spells you go through to maximize DPS im jsut curious. With teh high number of tanks in my guild its hard to get into the raid slot so im trying to show i can DPS and currently i still cant get passed teh 1k mark i know im not gona beat a scout or mage but id liek to improve my chances and am open to suggestions i know SK's well maybe not as much as u guys but i have been playing him for a coupel years so id like to have input on SK's from otehr servers

Raid guilds have very little need of SKs in the raid force, and thus aren't going out of their way to fill their ranks with them (especially ones that use NO punctuation whatsoever, which, of course, is annoying as hell). First...find out what group you'd get slotted into. If you're lucky enough to get into a caster group get as much damage proc gear as you can. Then work your INT up. AA spec STR to the bottom (how you get there is up to you) as well as INT 4/4/8. Throw a symbol in your offhand and cast cast cast your buns off. If you're in a melee group (and *cross your fingers* have a dirge's buffs going) you can either go hybrid melee/caster (AA spec on this is much debated, but spell crits and melee crits are almost a must) or go all out with a heavy critting 2 hander (and axe if you're lucky). Your DPS will depend largely on the buffs you recieve, but you shouldn't do all that bad. But like I said in the beginning, as a SK you're most likely going to be lumped into group 4 with all the other stepchildren. In other words...you're not going to unseat a REAL DPS class from the caster or scout group. If you're lucky your guild will have 4 bards/enchanters and whatever group you'll end up in will be of some help to ya. In my honest opinion, the only SKs that rock in raids are the ones that are respected members of their guilds (leaders, founders, etc) because, as any SK lucky enough to get some good buffs will tell you, they CAN put out some serious DPS if they're in certain groups, but if you're begging to get into a raid, I doubt you'll be taking any meaningful buffs from anyone.... My SK is my science project. I love changing up his AA specs and totally re-inventing the way I play him (and still kicking [Removed for Content] the entire time). However, my warlock at 66th level was more of an addition to the raid force than my 70th level SK was. Ok...I've gotten totally off topic...be safe all. |
