Neriak: Not Viable as a Home City for PvP

First there was Kelethin with no access to TS and Nek docks. Now we have Neriak STILL with no access to TS and Nek docks. But if you visit a building near Neriak's fake dock, you'll find that an NPC will sell you tickets to TS and Nek. I was overjoyed when I saw that. WOOT! I said. So I bought a ticket to Nek expecting to land at the dock but NOOOOO, I landed at the Nek spire instead, where an exile swashie who was camping the place promptly killed me (I'm a weak coercer, give me a break SMILEY ).

The Nek spire is a place I normally avoid like the plague because of the exiles who camp it for an easy kill and run back to their rathole. It's apparent that whoever at SOE designed the transportation system for Neriak either didn't give much thought to its implications for PvP or maybe he's just not the brightest bulb in their building. If you travel to TS from Neriak you're taken to the Nek spire, way out in the middle of nowhere and have to traverse a long and dangerous distance risking a gank at any moment.

I have lived in Neriak enough to be familiar with the city and appreciate its uniqueness. But once the cuteness wears off, why would I put up with such a huge incovenience on a permanent basis? I'm moving to Freeport thank you very much.

It makes me wonder whether SOE gaves us these extra cities only as a 'taste', but doesn't really want them to compete on an equal footing with the two original cities. If this is the case, don't bother making new cities because I won't bother moving into them.

Seriously tho, I completely agree with you, I wanted to move to neriak, but because of this fact I didnt.

yea it sucks the only city pvp zone for qeynos is in qeynos harbor for the most part ive seen a group vs group or raid vs raid fight anywhere esle in the city and all the epic 70 guards are in sq/nq...but of course u go to EAST fp and theres epic guards that are trained on you etc. I was going thru neriak on a like level 70 i dont play and some level 11 hit me once and i got rocked by guards lol.
