If you had 22 AA points and had to pour them into either the STR or AGI line, which one would you choose, and why? Thanks.

uhh, as a ranger, i'd go AGI why?  ranged crits and 35% quicker cast. plus the other things from the line.  If you play on a pvp server, point blank shot is a nice stun/knockback.

agi is the best predator line for rangers on any server,  point blank shot and incombat run speed are great in early lvl pvp, and later on nothing is better than range crit

I've seen a lot of highly titled rangers on Naggy with  high STR, which is why I asked.  Maybe they're going down the AGI line but just equipping high STR gear?

That's it exactly.  Lots and lots of STR.  And the AGI line gives us our ranged crits and faster casting CAs which really makes all that STR pay off.

I think this touches on a common misperception that AA lines are good for their stat increases. AA lines should be chosen for the abilities and skills they give you not a stat. At the end if you have some left over you can then  put them in the stat of your choice. High agi gear usually has high str on it as well and vice versa so as you grow in level it will not be unusual for your strength and agility to stay within 20 of each other. Also remember that we can buff our agility but cannot buff our strength.

Just an ovservation on my part, but I made alot of mistakes lvling up to 70 in gear choice and this might help you guys working your way up.

Of all the things i did while lvling up, ignoring my intellegence was probably the worst mistake I made.  I was always under the impression that strength and agility were the attributes i needed most.  Once reaching T7 i soon learned that while Str was still very important, Agi was taking a backseat to my need for Int.

But it can be extremely hard to find pieces of gear that offer both Str and Int pre-EOF and the pieces that you did find were in high demand from most of the other scout classes as well.  EoF added some nice treasured stuff that had high Str and Int, but were usually lacking in resists or mitigation.

I remained Str and Agi in my AA lines until i got my Int to about 325 or so.  I then respeced to the Int line and, BAM!  instant increase in my overall dps of somewhere between 300-400.  I am now speced so that all my crits are maxed in both lines on the predator tree.  I put max points in my caustic enchancement on the ranger tree, and went all the way down the multi-shot line to get Double Arrow.  The remainder of my points went into my self buffs with a self indulgent few for my pathfinding to 46%. (Can't stand lumbering around and the horse only seems to slow me down in pvp)

Hope this helps someone else not make the same mistakes I have.  Spent alot of dkp for a second set of gear that i didn't have to.   Hope you don't do the same.
