Ok here is the deal. I have the m1 version of Runic Aegis and with a bit of +healing gear it is up to 211 hps of physical dmg absorption. I didn't have a problem with my mystic in general and I managed to ding Dreadnaught too yesterday although I mainly solo (woot go mystics). Anyway, I am derailing here...so yesterday I happened to look closer to my combat log and see something strange. I have seen my combat log from pvp fights many other times...but this time was kinda strange:

Blablabla's Malicious Assault hits you for 603 damage

Your Runic Aegis regenerates 211 points of absorption

Your Runic Aegis prevents 179 points of damage done to YOURSELF

Blablabla's Malicious Assaullt hits you for 400 points of damage.

Ok what you see here....although my runic aegis has a 211 points of absorption it only prevented 179 points in the pvp fight...I am sure it prevents whole 211 points in PvE fights. And it happened again and again...it never prevented 211 points in a PvP fight. Anyone has a clue what this is about? Is it generalised on our wards too? And if yes since when?

I'm not sure how they are handling heal spells for pvp... But if they are making some sort of convulted check to see if the damage is pvp or pve it makes pretty good sense that since so many other things in pvp are regulated down, heals/heal buffs would be as well.  My guess you are suffering from working as intended on a pvp server.  But again, thats my guess.

The thing is that on a PvP server the only thing that scales down is the dmg...not the healing efficiency. I know my healing spells remain the same PvP or PvE....but why this happened to my ward? Does it actually prevent on the actual PvE dmg before the application of the PvP rule takes effect? If that is the case I think it has to be looked up. Cause other heals on other classes work to their full potential.

If no other buff/heal is scaled down then likely this is a bug.  I admit lack of knowledge when it comes to the pvp ruleset.  But you might want to look around to see if anything else is effected in other classes besides damage.

I know this is hard to test in some ways but I would watch your parses.  See if you are consistently regenerating a ward and loosing more damage then what is regenerated.  Don't take necessarily what the ward value says on the spell.  Oberon for example doesnt regenerate all of it damage soak per tick.  Make sure the value lost is < the amount of the ward.  Since those lines aren't a direct parse was there anything at all in between?

No actually the values for PvE are fine...I am warding for the said amount....with single wards and Runic Aegis and everything. On the PvP ruleset there are a few spells that change....and all dmg is scaled down...but no healing spell affected in any way...well concerning the other healers at least. However, my finding with Runic Aegis seems that wards are scaled down for pvp....dunno yet if it is universal for all ward types...but they are for Runic Aegis. Any thoughts and input from people on PvP servers?

Heals have been changed for PvP as well.  Wards were not affected by this change as they are cast before the damage hits.  Not sure exactly why they were not changed, but I'm not complaining.  It is possible that since Runic Aegis is a constant, it may be being affected by the reduced heal amount, but it is just not showing in the examine window.
