lol some 20 million items just lost all worth. Hotfix June / 01 / 2007 Spells: * Casting another spell along with the Warlock Rift will no longer negate the damage done by Rift. * Apprentice versions of spells are outright resisted less often. They now match the resist rate of Adept I spells. So those adept 1's are basically only good for a transmuter now.

![]() They only said the resist rates. The other effects (dmg, buffs, heals, etc.) should still be better. Besides, Adept 1 is only good for the transmuter anyway. If you don't have ad3 or master you aren't working hard enough on your toon, hehe.

This seems rather bogus. Sure damage spells and some debuffs scale up from app1 to ad1, but all the roots, stuns, snares, etc. do not. Sure it's not a big deal, might even help the new players who can't afford all ad3-M1. It does however seem like the fix was made without much thought.

![]() What seems rather bogus to me is that those of us who've invested in master spells hoping for relief from resistance have been desillusioned for a long time and this does nothing to alleaviate that. Reduce the resistance rate at that top, not at the bottom, so that we at least have something to aim for. Right now EQ2 is strongly biased against casters and resistance rates are the main culprit. |
