![]() Hello all, Well this last week my brothers and I rolled toons that would play well together for our Trio static group. Up to this point I have played most classes just to see what they were like but always left the Wizzy to someone else and now can not figure out why. My main has always been an Inquis just for all around play, very use to the long drawn out solo battles that the healers always have. OMG, can not believe the pain I can dish out, have also learned how easy the Wiz/Warlocks can pull aggro from tanks if you do not play it smart. Just thankful that our tank is pretty good and has almost always kept me from death with the aid of our lil healer. The Dots and DD spells we have just rock and have brought a totally different aspect of the game to me. Have really only played as the Wizzy for 3 days about 4-8 hours each and almost hit 26 last night. Never knew how much DMG a Wizzy actually brought to a group. Have cut the battle time in half at least. Only thing is that I wish my Root would not get resisted as often, it's adept III and have a prob with white and yellow mobs resisting it. Remeber with my Inquis that in my 20's always had a problem with resists which became less of an issue in later levels. |

Déjà vu - I feel like I've read your post before (especially the part about your root being resisted)... Aside from maxing out your casting abilities and upgrading your spells (both of which I am assuming you have done), you might consider tossing a hex doll in your line-up. I never use it in group encounters, but I almost ALWAYS use it when I am soloing: Root - Hex Doll - Root - Bombs Away. I can't back it up with hard numbers, but I have the feeling that my roots "stick" better after I have cast the hex doll (I also use Surging Tempest in my line-up and it seems to help increase the damage from that magic-based spell too). Even then, your roots will be resisted regularly - get used to it and come up with emergency plans for those occurrences. In the end it may just be subjective; I don't feel that my roots are resisted all that often, but my lvl70 wizard guildmate complains constantly about it (I'm willing to bet that the frequency our roots are being resisted is about the same).

![]() Thanks for the post. I have the hex dolls just for the Int but will start using them better to my advantage and see what we get. |
