depends where you aim: inq is much more fun than defiler, but if you want to raid in future, defiler is necessary in raids

well, she made her inquisitor, so I will see first hand if it works out well!

![]() SK + Defiler is the best possible duo for Fighter / Healer IMHO. SK's don't need much healing at all they need wards since we can heal like mad with them up. A shaman is the natural choice for a duo, and since defiler is much better than Mystic then I'd go Defiler. I've been 2 boxing my combo for a while and I'd suggest the combo of classes to anyone anyday. From my personal experience, Inq is the worst healer in the game. Decent for offense but horrible when it comes to actually healing. Hope that helps some. |

![]() one thing often overlooked about inquisitors is the amount of debuffs they have Debuff Intel and str debuff that decreases All resists decress mental wyle dealing mental damage decrease the offensive skills of an oponent and there allies ( so with all those debuffs you might not see it but mobs die a whole lot Faster, = need less healing : ) ... they also have a Fear spell that end with a stun to the mob they have a mezz ... group buf that increases attack speed and Intell , use this with Divine Recovery AA when Death march is cast and you will see the bodies hit the floor : ) ... a buff that increases resist vs arcane and increases Hp's of the group a buff that increases sta and physical resistance of the group a buff that can be cast on 3 group members that increase dps and increase there Health (dont see where we got the Shaft and only Buff Sta and not Raw hp's ?? ; ) .. and so much more Verdict for 1 : ) all that and inquisitors heal's are close to a templars /wink (im in Mt group 90 % of the time in raids over Templars : ) a well played inquisitor is just like a well played SK , they can do amazing things in the right hands

![]() my wife was wondering about a defiler, but after she played my templar she decided she would like to try a inqy, from the sounds of it, the combo should work well. I recently respec'd to the INT line and working on the STR line now. I currently use two legendary symbols(guildy made +20 to disease damage on both symbols) and a legendary 1h sword, and my dps is insane. Her lvl 38 fury has no problem healing me when we take on heroic nameds 5 levels higher than our duo, and I think a inqy has better heals, so survival will not be a issue. I figure that if I spec for dps, we should be able to take out the mobs safely and some what quickly for a duo. |

Inq Stam buff does not compare to a pure HP buff. Anytime a buff gives you Raw hp/mana its almost always better and gives you more than buffing a stat. The reason most guilds use a Defiler/Templar duo for MT group is the total max raw hp and mit buffs. Inq cant buff as much hp cause (made up numbers) 100 stam is only like 500 hp... compared to 800 HP raw buff from a real hp buff. Same with gear. Stats look pretty and all but its all about raw HP/Mana. +15-25 to a bunch of stats on a piece is nice but if it only has 60-80hp/mana its junk. Raw first till your all fabled. Your looking for 100-125 hp/mana for t6/t7 and 125-250 for the high end T7 (avatars)

I travel with an Inq for Duo atm .. Not bad keeps me alive well enough easy to hold agro with. Tho I Honestly preffer to Duo SK/Fury .. their HoTs 2 that stack and my Taps healing purposes alone work well. Duo with a Defiler couple times didnt have as good luck as with the Fury but that could have just been bad defiler .. Ill stick My Inq we good partners mainlty cause Know how each play our toons and on a personal lvl we mesh well .. but just out Bag I go SK/Fury but that also has to do with Im not trying obliterate verything with such ease. Fury tend to make the fight fun.

Fury's rock with a mage SK. The buffs they give fit us perfectly. The increase in mana pool and thorns on top of that to stack with ours just makes them great.

I think defiler's buffs are better, and debuffs of dis/poison are perfect for sk. The "dream" group for a SK would be a defiler, fury (for spot heals and +int/dps) and filled out with warlocks. Imagine... Then again, I'm biased - my main is (was?) a Defiler.

Defilers are the best Tank SK healer. But I find Fury's while they dont debuff dis they increase your dps alot more. You will kill much faster with a fury. Defilers healing as a duo is overkill to a sk. It a waste. On a raid they are the best without doubt but any other time I perfer the fury. Not to mention the ports combined with our evac make getting anywhere with a fury so fast its sweet. 10 min writ runs in bonemire for faction was nice. 6 runs a hour when we were leveling up to guild level 60. Between the 2 of us we could use one of the calls or ports we had, evac get back and get the next set of writs and back to bonemire so fast we spent more time waiting on the portals than we did on anything else.

An inqy should be capable of reacing fury dps if specced for it. And since SKs only need half a healer, an inqy would make do even fi what people say about htem is tru, which I dont think it is. You pretty much only need your single target reactive as an inqy when duoing with a sk, the rest of the time you are free to dow hatever rocks your boat.

![]() My main is an inquisitor...I havne't played him much since he hit 70 so his gear is average for a 70 at best. He's almost fully dps specced for melee and when the raid mob allows it I get to dps and I can hit 700 dps (keep in mind this is with mediocre gear but 100aa) I think inquisitor/sk would be a great duo because the inquisitor can dish out some serious dps and give some nice melee dps buffs as well. Fury would also be a good choice because furies can boost spell casting and a lot of the SK's dps comes from spells. |

Personally I find the Inquis and Sk duo to be spectacular. Really we are all arguing our favorite healers, but the skill of the player plays into it more then the class. The inquis I run with can parse out 1k dps when we duo, can debuff the mobs melle attack skills by 65 i think, and can heal me through group content very well. I like the inquis/sk combo, but again thats the person I always duo with, dont know if its the best combo, but I do know it is capable of being a very very good combo. I dont find Furys to be nearly as good..... personal opinion, and I would take an inquisitors buffs over a furys for a duo any day, cant say much about defiler/mystic except that they are a darn fine healing class, but I question how much dps they bring to the table in a duo situation. Really when your duoing its not about being the best of the best healer or best of the best tank..... its about your overall dps/survivability as a unit. Just my 2cp.
