Which Server are you going to X~Fer to?

Now that SOE has officially announced Free Server Transfers,I'm curious where the people that want a larger playerbase are looking to go? I also thought this might be a good opportunity for us to target a server to all relocate to together,thereby almost assuring a nice size population as well as not upsetting the players that are hoping to keep their servers around the size they are right now. Any and all Feedback on where you're thinking to go is what I'm hoping for as i plan on utilizing this option as well.

I read both posts. I see nothing to indicate that it's all servers. It seems to be specifically targetted at the EU PvP servers, so it doesn't even seem like it will affect the US PvP servers.

Edit: OK, I missed the line at the bottom that says once the PvP servers are done, they'll move it to "all servers", but there's no actual statement that they mean ALL servers EU & US. It might be just the EU servers.

You're entitled to your opinion of what "All" means Livejazz(& I mean no disrespect by that comment),but does anyone else have any comments on what server they'll move to once this goes Live? BTW, Would one of the Dev's please step in here & clarify the All Servers statement so this thread doesn't turn into a thread of confusion,I'd really like to get feedback on where people are thinking of transferring to & that would halt potential Flames or arguments.

I actually hope your interpretation is right: I have a SK on Antonia Bayle that I want to transfer to Mistmoore, but it's not important enough for me to pay for the service.

LOL, I play on Mistmoore w/you with 2 of my Toons & I'm hoping to move them to AB as well as my 2 on Najena(I Think). I'm also considering Unrest or Crushbone. I enjoy the Mistmoore Server I just hoping to find a larger playerbase,(Consistently larger). Yes, you are Darcnova

there will be 1 week of free transefers, after that week it will go back to costing money. pve toons can only transeferr to pve servers. non exchange pvp toons can only transfer to non echange pvp servers. those fools that thought station echange was such a great idea are just SOL they cant move anywhare.

Haha yeah...AB is a great server lol so thats one server i wont be transfering lol but if anyone transfers over i bet the server will be happy lol.

I have a 70 Toon & I'm looking for alot more than Raiding or Grinding,then the LightBulb went off & I realized I'm looking forward to actually Playing my Character, after that AB was a logical choice.

Trying to figure out what you read since the following, from Gallenite's 3/27 post, clearly states that free transfers will be offered to all servers for a period of one week. The only condition being PVP to PVP and PVE to PVE.

3) Once the PvP server transfers are complete, players on all servers will have a week-long opportunity to transfer their characters for free. This will allow affected people who may have instead wanted to play on Vox or Nagafen the chance to transfer their characters to those servers at no cost. Characters on PvP servers will be able to transfer to other PvP servers at no cost. Additionally, characters on PvE servers will be able to transfer to other PvE servers at no cost. Following the one week free-transfer period, PvP <-> PvP character transfers will remain enabled at the standard transfer cost. Once we have a specific timeline for these steps, we'll post it here. We're aiming to get that timeline post up by the end of next week

If its all servers im getting the hell of of antonia bayle the plat buyers there have doubled the cost of all rares this past month, i have 8 tradeskillers and i can only find a few things that will sell.

This will make a mess for for people with X appended to their names. I wonder how long it will take Sony to answer all the name change requests?

Can't wait to see the whines of people demanding their name be carried over with them instead of whoever may have it on that server they move to.  So how many more free server moves are to be expected in the future?!?  That should say that something is wrong...or are we playing the denial game?

Actually it won't.  Assuming that the transfer will be via the standard Character Transfer Service (just minus the normal $50 fee) you are warned when your target server already has a character with your name.  You are then prompted to enter a new name for your character (one that hasn't gone). On the subject of who can use this free service - my understanding is that it will be everybody, certainly not "EU PvP only" as there won't be any body to take up a "EU PvP" transfer service since English-UK, German and French PvP Servers will have merged with Venekor (which is US). I'm just hopeful that they allow account-account transfers for free (they have done them for $50 before) so I can redistribute my accounts and spread out from 2 to 3. Just waiting for the word on when

During this week, Pve to Pve transfers will be free. It is not clear on whether PvE transfers will go back to the pay-to-tranfer service, but I'm guessing they are. Why would they make PvP to PvP pay only but not PvE (especially when PvE servers vastly outnumber the few PvP servers.)

The reason that it specifically states

"Following the one week free-transfer period, PvP <-> PvP character transfers will remain enabled at the standard transfer cost."

is that pvp to pvp transfer was previously not allowed at all (you couldnt even pay for one).

After the week period both pve and pvp will go to the standard transfer cost.

The reason that pve seems to be an afterthought in that whole post is that it is from the pvp forums and none of us there care about you bluebies.    j/k :p

Really and truly if you want to be relatively free of plat spam, botters etc your only alternative is one of the English language EU servers.....Runnyeye or Splitpaw.

On the other hand......we want the status quo to remain.....so stay away please or we will release the hounds!
