just reinstalled eq2 and it's now patching - 7 hours to go! :O

i have the 'all-in-one' pack which came out with the release of the with eof x-pack, thought it was reasonably up-to-date in terms of patching, but how wrong!

so i'm guessing that the most recent big patch was a bit erm.. extensive?...  did they add a whole new island or something? SMILEY

I'm sure it will all be well worth the wait when I get to play!

Don't despair just yet, it always seems to overestimate download times, and while you probably do have a few hours to go I would hope it's less than that!

The Echoes of Faydwer package was more or less up to date for November and GU 29 when it came out (actually the disks have to be pressed weeks before that to be shipped to stores.) http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=253135 We just got GU 33 so you can read all the updates that have happened since November. Othesus - Dirge - Lucan DLere Vaspar - Fury - Lucan DLere

The launchday patch for EoF was, if I remember right like 4hrs IF you installed the disks, this is do to the disks being printed ~a month prior to the Launch Date, so that they can make enough copies, as such everything that changed in beta(wich was probly alot) between when EoF "went gold" and the launch day had to be patched. On top of that we have had 4 Free updates sence EoF was pressed gold(including content in 29 that was not part of EoF), each of wich has added a significant amount of content to the game, Including, lots of Art for Frostfell(Cristmas), Ellorii's Day(Valinintes day) and Brell's Day(St. Patricks Day) and while the Zones and quests are not needed anymore, they all had "house Iteam" rewards that addes Meat to the Downloads, Then there was the addtion of Unrest, wich from what I hear is a HUGE zone with all new art, AND the Revamp of DFC wich also added new art.

Basicly ALOT of stuff has been added sence EoF launch. One thing you have to say about EQ2 and SoE, they don't sluff off on FREE content updates, we get one about once a month, on average.
