Confused about 2h staff

I just won the Rune-craved Bone Staff in Unrest last night, and it seems to be a pretty awsome weapon ( especially for pvp ).

Problem is, I can't find any of the Socerer AA lines to be compatible with using a 2h staff, whereas we have 2 lines that require use of dual wield primary or one hander.

I would love to have this as my main weapon, but don't know what AAs to utilize to make me a better PVPer and well rounded wiz at same time.

Any advise appreciated.

+48sta , +56int , 160 health/power

+5 focus , +6 subjugation

Proc stifles target for up to 8 seconds.

Our Str line is themed around using a staff. However, like many AA lines, only the first ability in the line actually requires the use of a staff. Unfortunately, you are always putting yourself at a statistical disadvantage when using a two-hander as a Wizard, I personally do use a staff as my weapon, mostly for the look, but you have to be willing to accept the loss of things like Freehand Sorcery when you do so

So to get the best benefits of AAs, a wizard has to use a 1h weapon with nothing in secondary slot?

what are some of the better 1h items for wizzys in T6 then?

what I mainly use is grizzfazzles walking stick and leave secondary empty http://eq2players.station.sony.com/...m?itemId=124503 it's a quest in Bonemire grizzfazzle's errands
