![]() Hey Everyone, I guess first of all I should give a bit of background information. I just came back to the game since October '05 last Tuesday. And today I am going to buy EoF. My Main is only level 19, and I am really confused about everything from being gone so long. So I am planning on rolling a new main. I was just wondering if someone could give me the pro's and con's between the two forms of druid (Fury and Warden). For example, which gives better damage, better healing, better direct damage, best area damage. etc. If someone could do this. It would be great and I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

Druids seem to be flavor of the month at the moment. But furies are extremely fun

![]() Maybe someone can post the cons of a warden but I've never rolled one. But I have an (almost) 40 Fury so here is my imput. I play a 70 conj as my main. So dps and my love of pets is important to me. Fury is medium dps but has the ability to charm, mez, melee, nuke, buff group/raid and most important heal. We are back up healers, coercers and mage all rolled in one. We increase int and wis of group very well. We increase mitigation versus all damage. We can charm but only animals and thats an AA ability. We get speed (level 40 and I have 40% and climbing with AAs). We take on forms of animals to increase our combat, speed and healing abilities. We nuke fairly well but our casting times are slow. Also we have ability to port anyone to far distant lands. All together the Fury is a well rounded, challenging and fun class. I recommend it but again I've never rolled a Warden. |

Damage Per Second or otherwise known as damage output. Casters are high dps and tanks are lower etc.

![]() Wardens and Furies can also grow into fairly different playstyles, based on how you spend your achievement points in the EoF tree. Personally I don't think your choice should be based on DPS, but just which class has the "feel" and "style" that appeals to you more. If the healing aspect of the class is more important to you, Warden just might be a better fit (note: that is not the same as saying wardens heal better.. but I do think the class suits someone focused on healing moreso than fury). If you want to emphasize the mage/nuker aspect of the class, either can work, but you are making a case for Fury. If you like the idea of a priest that can heal a group and also top the dps chart at the same time (ie: tank just pulled a large pack of vv mobs and you let lose your master 2 aoe), Fury can't be beat. If you want to be able to give anyone you meet a 45% runspeed buff, Wardens are your class. Etc, etc. I have played both, but my experience with warden was so long ago that it is no longer relevant. /edit: forgot to mention.. druids are VERY popular right now.. so if you are one of those players that enjoys being somewhat unique, don't roll a druid heh.

To simplify what the Fury vs. Warden is all about (it's so much more, but this usually helps people make a choice quicker): If you like to nuke, choose Fury, if you like to melee, choose Warden. (both can do either, but I feel each class is underutilized if you don't take advantage of their new "direction"

![]() Thanks for all the quick replies. By the sounds of things, The fury sounds right for me. As I like the mage feel of spells, and I like buffs, and lots of damage. And I really chose this class because I want to have portals once I am high enough in level. Thanks so much for the help everyone. So, by the things that I want. Damage, Soloing, Buffs, And cool spells. lol, does this sound like the right thing for me Thanks.

![]() Druids are healers first and anything else, including DPS dealers, second. I love my warden and, if given the chance to reset her, would still pick warden. If you're that concerned with dealing damage perhaps a class like paladin which is basically a tank with healing and eventually rez. Sounds to me closer to what you're looking for. Whatever you choose, welcome back to what, despite its many problems, is the best MMORPG there is.

Well, I wouldn't really go that far into describing a Fury A more accurate description: The Nuking Healer. |
