So far have to give a big thumbs up to the dev's on this one.  I had to log after a bit but we had a blast in that zone.  Almost messed myself in the kitchen area...

Nameds encounters were well designed they have some nice tricks and there were quite a few groups in there at one time and I didn't notice any lag at all.

We got server disco on Asssassin legendary hat in there but everything else was treasured but it was some nice treasured stuff, 2 stats with 20 and decent resists.

Have to agree - had to log to pick up the kiddos, but am [Removed for Content] glad I've got 2 level 70 toons so I can go back tonight with a different group! I like having to figure out all the puzzles - I'm sure it'll become routine after while, but the first few times will definitely be a blast SMILEY I didn't notice a lot of lag either ....although the true test will be tonight ....

Yeah it's not an uber type nizara zone (at least what we saw) but tough enough, honestly I liked HoF and PoA better than the EoF zones.  Longer type ones with more nameds and tougher encounters here and there.

Took us about 6h to clear, with group of 5 and plenty of breaks. Was a real fun adventure, althou I expect next time will go a lot faster . Lots of thinking and poking around, felt like nek castle first time. Not as hard as Nizara, but a good challenge still, was funny how the closest to wipe we got was caused by 'me'.. Hilarious to see a little Wooe smack half group dead SMILEY

We got summoner chest and a real nifty dagger from final boss, along with some fun toys during the zone. One of my favorite places so far, well, with exceptions of some weird behaviour on the garanel shades when mezzed, dunno if that worked as intended or not, but was quite confusing.

just finished with the zone, took us just over 3 hours in our first run. i liked the clues throughout the zone abotu what to do, much better than random guessing.   was quite disappointed with the quality of encounters which provided no challenge whatsoever.  I am not in any kind of WorldWide Top 10 guild or anything close, but I expect to be doing this zone with 3 people pretty soon and it feels far too easy and not nearly *epic* enough (i dont mean epic as in multiple-group)  to support the nice storyline.  Given the (greater) difficulty of Nek3, Nizara and Castle Mistmoore (or even mistmoore catacombs), I don't see how this zone fits into progression at all, the end boss is easier than the boss of Halls of Fate.  Some of the legendary loot was amazing, as a matter of fact I saw an item with higher stats and more Flowing Thought than my DT access quest reward, which had required me to kill 4 epic dragons.  Not sure how that is meant to balance out exactly, but Ill take it.   The visual and sound effects throughout were excellent, I especially liked the mist (and the mob that brought the mist).  The zone just needs to be tweaked on difficulty a bit and it will be great.

Such a pity that people were exploiting pet pulling and targetting to progress without solving the puzzles on LDL SMILEY SOE, that needs fixing.

What an awesome zone Unrest is. You can really see the effort that has been put into it. I really like it. Best zone ever. Spent 4 hrs last night in it with a group and we didn't get anyway near finishing it. I am glad SoE decided to wait until the zone was fully ready. They have raised the bar on how instances should be designed and implemented. All future instances will be judged against this now.. SMILEY

If you see someone using an exploit, posting the exploit on the forums is the absolute worst thing you can do.  If you see an exploit, you should report it immediately to SOE and not tell anyone about it.

That being said, I never heard of pet pulling being considered an exploit.  The boss of unrest isn't up unless you progress down into the basement and to progress into the basement you need to have solved all puzzles, other named also require similar progression to activate.  If pulling some mob from behind a closed door causes the doors to open, then it may be a bug and requires fixing, it may also be an alternate way of doing the zone (blunt force is always option).  Either way, please submit a detailed report to SOE as opposed to telling others how to use the same exploit here.

I thought the zone was a blast - took us 7 hours to clear entirely.  Got server disco wizzie robe, server disco on a nice 1h with a stun proc and nice stats, server disco on a great tank ring (+30 sta/str), templar hat, and some decent (+24 to two stats - neck, waist, wrist - from plain wooden chests).

The challenge here was the length, and the puzzles.  Most of the fights were easy until you hit downstairs.  I loved the twist regarding your own group members, and the fight with the Hag was pretty fun too.

My only complaint is that I wish it took a little shorter time to clear - maybe it will on subsequent visits...but even 3.5 - 4hrs is a long time.  Not really a place for pickup grps.

Nice surprise at the end once Garanel is dead.

Took us 4 hours to clear it and I loved every single second of it. Was very happy to see a Vhalens BP drop also. Gating tired but happy and then seeing the final surprise was the icing on the cake! Simply brilliant a new bar in zone design has been set.

exactly.  always report a suspected exploit for verification before assuming it is indeed an exploit and/or posting about it on forums.

I have to agree awesome zone lots of fun... now the bad.  We spent 5 hours in there, only to have the zone crash on us on the Hemogoblin. SMILEY

I liked the nostalgic feel to the zone and the ambient sounds etc.

One thing that I don't like is the fact that if anyone in your group goes LD or leaves with any of the quest items you are completely screwed.   We had someone get Rhylls hammer and not tell anyone and then logged before we got to the point an hour or two later where the hammer was actually used.  So we spent about 4 hours in the zone only to find out that we needed this hammer.

Would like to see the dwarf NPC that gives the hammer to be a permanent NPC like Jessa on the other side so that in the event that a critical piece like the hammer is lost,  hailing the NPC could get you another.

Pulling mobs with a pet is not an exploit.  As stated you can't pull mobs that haven't spawned.

And I was in one of the first groups in unrest on LDL so you are probably referring to me since we did a few nameds that way.

Not hard enough?

Pfft... I mean it wasn't impossible, like an EoF raid without DeathToll gear.. but it was hard enough.

Over a hundred mobs, all lvl 72^ to 75^^^ (and that one 80 X 2)...

You won't be taking any lvl 67's in there, you better not have ad1 spells you nothing will land, you probably will need 2 healers, or at least a safe place to pull or mez, it takes AT LEAST 3hrs to complete (though peeps have spent 6+ on their first few times in), and I will bet you a millions dollars nobody even those in a  "top 10 raiding guild" or whatever will be doing the zone with 3 people anytime soon.

Easer than Nek3?  I feel Nek3 is way easier... both in mobs and time required... plus the Nek3 final mob almost always drops a lvl 70 master... plus could be done in way quicker time.

Thats where it comes down to me.  If it takes 4-5 hrs to clear with a group of 70s that have done the zone before, thats 'hard enough'.

If they make the encounters more difficult, I'd hope they remove some of the trash, or provide more shortcuts to use on your 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc time through.  (Loot wasn't unreal though, we got 3 legendary drops, though one of them was only an adept and a CoH charm item (with 5 charges) that dropped from the Hag.  No masters.  Though I do think the lvl 68 tresured items are very nice for those without KoS raiding gear.

Pulling mobs through locked doors is though I'd wager.

Honestly have no idea where the 3 mobs we pulled were from.

Meh not that hard either way we just were seeing who was up since we didn't have a walkthrough or anyone who had been on in beta.

This happened to us on the first go at the Library MOBS, AoE pulled the Foyer Mobs out that door as we pulled the library group out into the hall, needless to  say we were back at the gate in no time at all.  Not an Exploit as well it's just a wall and AoE has gone through bigger substances than that.. (cave rocks anyone?)
