I read the Gambling guide in Irontoes East (NQ) and now I'm more confused than I was to start with!

I understand that you need to match between 2 and 6 numbers to win anything, but I don't understand how this works. In the guide it states that there are currently six two digit numbers, but there are only six one digit numbers when you play the game with a second row of random numbers above them.

On the occasions that I have won, some numbers have been highlighted in green but I can't see the connection between these two sets of numbers and the ones you need to win.

Can anyone explain it it simple terms please?
Thanks!

You want the numbers in the top row (random) to match the numbers in the bottom row (static). If all of the random numbers in the top row happen to match all of the static numbers in the bottom row you win the whole kitty, if only some of the numbers in the two rows match you win a lesser amount (most commonly 10sp). The examinable book near the goblin will show what the total pot is and what the prizes are for partial matches.

I dont know what the odds of winning the whole pot is but you probably have better odds of being attacked by a shark.

If it's the standard 6/49 arrangement.. 6 numbers, 49 possiblities, order doesn't matter, then it's 1 in 14 million roughly..

So, at 10 silver a pop, you'd need to spend 14,000 plat to be guaranteed a win.. in theory...

Your odds of being attacked by a shark in the United States are roughly 1 in 8 million...

That being said, you do have a chance of winning.
