I'm looking to see if someone could perhaps shed some light on a problem I am having. I have completed the quest to get our Frostfell trees in its entirety twice so far. I have two pretty little trees sitting in my inn room. I am halfway through finishing it yet a third time with the promised reward of another frostfell tree. What's the problem you ask? I don't want another stinkin tree, lol. I want the wreath quest that I am supposed to get after I finish the tree quest. BUt the NPC won't give it to me, he just keeps giving me the tree quest over and over. Now, since you aren't supposed to be able to finish the quest and get the tree more than once, I did a /bug report and when that produced no results, I did a /petition. After being picked on for symantics, I finally got the follwing responce:
This is GM Emwor followingup on your issue related to the quest, Gigglegibber's Work is Never Done. I amvery sorry to know this. I checked our records and found that you havesuccessfully completed this quest twice on 2006-12-15. Further, I checked andfound that there is no issue with this quest and it is working fine, as per thegame design. Please make sure that you are proceeding correctly, as per yourquest journal.
Hello? Working as intended it is not. He closed my ticket out since "everyhting is working as intended". But it isn't. The NPC isn't supposed to hand this quest out more than once to you. You are only supposed to be able to get ONE tree and I'm working on number three here. I just want a wreath.. is that so much to ask? hehe Any tips advice, etc is welcome. I have deleted the quest repeatedly to see if I can clear out my quest journal and maybe he decides to give me the wreath quest but nope, tree quest everytime. I'm hoping to finish it and get the third tree today and create a little forest in my inn room SMILEY

The petition system never actually seems to reaches the GMs, they have automated response messages based on whatever you have written in. For all we know they work 1 hour a day, and have a sort of "answering machine" for all the petitions to do the work for them most of the time. It would be nice just to be so much as berated or spited in game(Not on the forums) by a GM some time, to prove they actually care about the longevity of the game.

Merry Frostfell to all!

I am sorry if the GMs were not able to explain what had happened, nor what was being done to stop this from occurring on the live servers.  It is most likely due to the fact that this is so new and was still being tested and getting the bugs resolved.

I can tell you what was going on. Gh'lad Tydingz was checking to see if you had the tree, already. If you did not, then he would give it to you. If you had the tree, then he was to give you the wreath. The problem was that he does not have the best of eyesight and he forgot about the trees that you may have placed elsewhere (ie house). So then he would mistakenly give you the tree, again. This has been resolved.

Each of Gh'lad Tydingz quests (A Gigglegibber's Work is Never Done...) should be giving the tree the 1st time thru, and the wreath for each of the additional times you can complete the same particular quest.

Kaitheel I thank you. Thank you thank you. Because not only was this irritating to me, but I could only imagine what would happen if it went live, lol. So again, thank you! SMILEYKaitheel I just went to get my wreath quest and he is still giving me the tree quest. SMILEY

From comments I have seen elsewhere, I believe this has been fixed internally, but has not yet hit Test.  Hang in there, and it should be fixed soon!  SMILEY

My partner on Test has now completed this quest three times and got a tree every time. The goblin now gives her the quest, but no reward shows in the quest window and on completion she gets no tree and no wreath. She bugged this last night, but can you confirm whether, when  the fix hits Test, she will be able to do the quest once more for the wreath, or has she got a different bug altogether?

Erm... until its fixed, can't you just make sure you have the tree in your inventory when you ask for the quest?

Personally I'd have preferred a 2nd tree instead of a wreath... just my luck to ask for the quest when the tree was in my inventory :p.
