![]() - Dumbfire pets will now receive damage from AoEs that do not explicitly target them. The only reasons I could come up with for this (here it comes) nerf was either the pets did too much damage and needed to die (those aquious hunters are killers!) or you couldn't make the no-damage rule work. It's a fact that even with the no-damage feature, some dumbfires were still getting killed pretty regular. With the long recast times and very little health, this means dumbfire pets will be virtually useless (which is why you made the no-damage rule in the first place). Even if you beefed them up, they'd have to be almost as strong as a necro tank pet to survive one raid mob AOE. Don't get me started on how stupid the ghastly necro line looks. Ghastly use to be one of our most powerful dots and now it's reduced to a stupid looking zombie which does little damage - and now it's going to die a lot more. Where is the logic is making these die more often?

Dumbfires were never invincible. They can and do pull aggro, letting the mob pound them with a normal attack.
