They are making all these drastic changes to a combat system that isn't perfect....but the truth is that no system is perfect.  So they re just replacing the current problems until players once again figure out how to do things with their 'new' system that they didn't think off.  They are just ruining the game for the guys who just want to play it and have fun.

These new combat changes seem drastic and utter crap, oh and of course all over the message boards people are abhoring it, many of them who have tested the new system on the Test server themselves....but its not like the devs wll listen....it's not like we 'pay' to play this game or anything....

I put up with crap like this attuning thing a while back, eventhough it hurts my character cause I'm just a tank and don't have the time to tradeskill, I just want to kill and have fun, but now I can't even make a small fraction of money back on any equipment I invest in.  I put up with it becuse it would benefit crafters, which includes my wife's character, so I said the hell with it.

Before you start making all these changes, why don't you start fixing all the crap that is broken now, I'm sure you can quickly run through the boards and find a fat enough list to keep you busy for many months, and leave the rest of the game as it is, cause for all you change there are always going to be problems.

If they ruin the fun I have in combat and killing, and I can no longer tank a whole bunch of mobs (which is what tanks do) and have fun doing it, I'm out of here, I quit.

Peace.

I'd love to reply here before this gets locked. Some fundamental flaws with your ... ahem .. arguement. Please see the bolded line for an example of flawed logic. Hehe .. do I even need to say anything?

So people are "abhoring" these changes that they have not seen or tested? Your account of "many" of them testing the changes is also .. ridiculous .. as .. on any given night there are like 50 people in test. You think this change is going to suck .. get in there and test it. Or here's an idea .. WAIT FOR IT TO HIT LIVE BEFORE YOU START B!TCHING! How many *$%#&! threads do we need that say the same exact thing .. one more ridiculous than the other?

Actually, most people that have tested these changes don't notice a significant difference except when grouping, and even then most say it can be managable. What groups aren't privy to yet, tho, are the upcoming spell and class balances to remedy the standalone flaws within the new combat system. People judge this system, but they're really only seeing 1/3 of it. All three will be tested and rolled out at the same time, so it's not worth worrying about until we see the whole picture.

That's just it... these changes will allow devs to fix things that are broken now... Spells not upgrading properly, advancement fluidity, itemization, class balancing, etc. As for other bugs, just watch the next 2 patches and see how many bug fixes you get along with them developing this new system. I know it's just a myth, but SOE can work on more than one thing at once.

For being such a short thread, this has already devolved into personal attacks and vulgarity.  If you wish to express a negative opinion, I'm fairly sure you can do so in a civil manner.
