I have no opposition to the change, per se, and I have no problem with crafters makign a good return for their efforts. 
 
However, in reviewing the testing patch notes, I did not see anything about a corresponding increase in the drop rates or the value of dropped items from MOBs.  Regardless of the merits of the change, there can be no doubt that it will result in a pretty hefty increase in the cost of crafted items.  AFAIK, the demand will remain the same, but the supply will greatly decrease.  Thus, prices will go up.
 
So, my question is this: will there be any change in the frequency of drops or value of drops from MOBs such that the consumers will be able to afford the increase in prices?

Actually, the respawn rate for resources in TS seems to have dropped dramatically... making regular stuff hard to find.
