Melee High Hit Leaderboard...

I was reading the Assassin board today as I usually do, and found myself poking through the "Our New Ghetto High Hit Record" post.

It's not being kept up... and it shouldn't need to be kept up. There *is* a Melee High Hit Leaderboard which has been broken for over a year now--due to being populated by bogus exploit numbers by over 60 people. It needs to be fixed.

I've started a thread on the "EQ2Players.com Discussion" forum. I was hoping to get some support over there requesting that they reset the high hit leaderboard finally.

I don't know if they will listen, but maybe if enough of us post who knows--maybe they will.

There are some really great high hits happening out there these days. Legit 30k+ hits--but we can't tell which are real and which are bogus on the Leaderboard anymore. It was easy when normal high hits were 10-15k -- at least the bogus hits stuck out then. Now, they are all blending together. It's time to fix this.

nice post, as i posted on that thread though the highest magic hit from people using the item in gates of ahket should also be deleted.. (hence why guild mt's are scoring top highest magic hit of 320+k)would be nice to also see that deleted so its not just a bias melee dps post SMILEY

1) how bad you can break the game

2) official blood and sweat high hits

Filter that PvP Cheaters out, the good Gamers god a slap in their face. Cheaters with T5 Weapons or PvP Cheatz Hits rultz the board SMILEY

Every Fair Gamer should underwrite that Thread, maybe one of Devs fix that. Plz it cannot be that rultz a cheater Assassin over 1 year Place 1 with dumb PvP Hit.

Figured I'd throw this in there.Maus Everfrost 70 69,399 And Skratt falls in 3rd or 4th place on my server... where did the 30k go? or was that from Pre KoS?Or I guess better yet, is this the bug your talking about?

It wasn't from PvP, those 35 - 90k hits on the Assassin Leaderboard are from when people duelled lvl 1s and Assassinated them.On the worldwide leader board for highest hit, doubt assassins would be top with a Decapitate... since there are a multiple number of legit ways of getting over 35k~ easily.Other than that i agree..

...PvP = Player Vs PlayerDuel = Player Vs Player=> Those high hits where obtained in PvP:smileytongue:

Funny thing about this-

Back when I became the first Assassin to "officially, legitimately" break the 30k Barrier, I was using Dirk of Negativity in my main hand when I made the hit. To this very day, it STILL shows some random T5 weapon I was using when I made my PREVIOUS high-hit to that (12k or some such in DoF era against Drayek in a for-fun T5 raid). It never updated.

Bugs with the leaderboard itself, not to mention the exploited hit numbers, need to be fixed up if they're to be any sort of meaningful indicator of status and progress to the community.

ya you might want to ignore the weapon which was displayed before the eq2players-"update", right now it doesn show the wep anymore..besides: before the "update" eq2pl was trying to convince me i used a blackened iron something for my 29k hit

Still dont understand why they didnt filter out the cheat hits so that we could have legit standings.

You know thats funny, I came back after 2 years, still had the bloodthirster blade x2 from the bloodlines adv pack. My high hit was something like 3 or 4k. This was showing that the hit was done while I was lvl 22, just before EoF my high hit was 7k with the bloodthirster... the day I came back I got rid of that weapon... So yeah, its bugged. I completely forgot about it till you mentioned it.
