I forgot if we got a final word on this, and cannot find it. (Yes I used search, I'm just tired and dumb right now SMILEY ) Anywho, so is it Damage=(Distance Fallen - Your Safe Fall Distance)*125?So 250 Safe Fall from a height of 75 would be: Character safe fall = ((250/5)+13) = 63 : (75-63)*125 = 1500dmg?

Well, the parts I know:13 metres or less = 0 damage.80 metres or more = 30,000 damage.Safe Fall  = (points/5 +13) metres.(Maximum safe distance = 83 metres.)That's the part we've been given.  But I don't recall reading or hearing, on either Test or Beta, the specifics of how damage is calculated within that range.(I also want to know how many metres it is from Tenebrous to the Hidden Refuge.)

Well- Theoretically, a terminal fall at max safefall is going to be 163 meters, anyways, which is probably a lot more then the fall to the refuge- I doubt it's more then 130 meters. Which means we would probably take damage, but not die... Who knows.

Yeah but terminal fall means 80m past safefall is 30k or whatever it was stated as... if you count the 125 * (M over safe fall max) you could still die before that terminal.

haven't experienced the roll factor myself.  I've tried testing this by jumping from some of the highest places i find and i never take damage.  i'm at max safefall which is a given.

ultimate safefall test

in sol eye

if you just zoned in walk down past the gnomes and there is a HUGE hole to your right

if you can stear yourself around all the bridges you will land right at the entrance to the infernal forge of ages

ive lived once

i didnt get a  landed safely message so im assuming it bugged

but you can however land on each bridge on the way down

currently the fal from the top to the first bridge wont kill me

the first bridge to the second one will

max safefall of course

i want to get a safefall buff on my cloak and see where i get SMILEY

Yeah...  I had a bit of a laugh one day and its quite easy to safefall down Sol eye safely by sticking to the walls. For some reasons there are certain areas that bug a bit.The first bridge can bug sometimes, if you land near one of the doors. The bridge with the spikes on the sides and the glass looking floor seems to bug a bit as well. The walkways at the bottom sometimes bug up.If, however, you land on top of the doorway that you enter the eternal forge by (and its a fairly small sweet spot, land inside the forge you die from the fall, land on the roof of the corridor to the forge...  you don't land, you just fall through until you hit lava) you will never take falling damage (or at least I never have, and I've done it 10+ times, and my safefall is still 100 off max.

Falling Damage and Safefall Skill

- Falling damage is no longer taken as a percentage of your total health.

- Distance is now the only modifier in the amount of damage taken, falling velocity is no longer a variable.

- Damage is calculated as (Distance Fallen * 125).

- A safe distance fall is 13 meters or less (Just under the height of a griffon tower platform).

- A terminal fall is 80 meters.  Any fall from that height (without safefall skill or some magic) will deal 30,000 points of damage.

- Safe Fall Skill increases the safe distance fall by 1 meter for every 5 points of skill.  A skill of 250 would increase the distance a character could fall without taking damage from 13 meters to 63 meters ((250 / 5) + 13).

- Super jump abilities will now fall at the normal rate when jumping off very high places.
