Question from a new player and assassin.

I recently converted from WoW to EQ2 and I am having a blast. Heres a couple of questions though.

1) What is the best dagger/weapon I can get at lvl20? Quest/Crafted whatever...

2) What is the best type of weapon for a rogue? Dagger or Sword?

3) Also in WoW.. we had Thottbot.com for item look ups and quests. Does EQ2 have anything similar thats fully updated? The ones I've seen.. i.e OGaming and Allakhazam seems to have outdated quests that dont exists and stats thats been changed..

For this one, your best bet is to get yourself some steel clusters, then speak to a weaponsmith about making you some pristine imbued steel weapons. Personally, at that level I decided to go with a slasher and a piercer to keep my skills even and up to par. Leafblade and Crescent axe might be a nice combo for you.

That's going to be personal preference. The dagger is pierce damage while the sword is slash. Most often the daggers have lower damage but faster speed for auto attack.

For item lookups, you really cant beat EQ2IDB. This is a really good database for every item you can think of, from random body drop to crafted materials. Go to www.eq2idb.com and get to the download page. Download and install the self installing version. All you do now basically is plug in any item you need under the search options, and if the item is in the database it will be pulled up.

As for quest lookups, you're on the right track with OGaming and Allakhazam. Given that i'm at work at this moment, I cant access my favorites list, but i'll repost my other quest sites when i can.

Honestly, for the most part at level 20 you really dont need to fret much over weapons and gear because you will just outlevel it very fast anyway. You can do the armor quests if you want for some better gear upgrades but not for weapons. On any of my alts, although I do twink the crap out of them, I really dont upgrade them much till come 40+ because leveling is so fast. Well, I did feysteel for my zerker at 30, but just cause hes a tank, for a dps class its really not going to make or break you in the lower levels.
