![]() Hello everyone, I'm a level 43 Assassin and until a few days ago had never visited these forums, but I'm finding a wealth of knowledge here so I'm glad I found these forums. I apologize in advance if this has been answered, and I'm sure it has, but I could not find it so I figured I'd just ask again. I've seen a lot of fellow players make the statement that as an assassin the attributes that benefit us most is strength and intelligence. I can understand the strength stat, but I'm at a loss on the intelligence. When I hover over intelligence in-game it says that it increases the ability to do spell damage (not exact verbage as I'm at work at the moment) and unless my attacks are considered "spells" I don't see how this would help. My main focus is total DPS so anything I can do to get my damage and crits up will be a huge bonus!! Thanks in advance for any help yall might be able to give! Ras |

procs and poisons benefit from higher int... the higher it is.. the more damage a proc or poison will do... also i beleive some of our CA's with things like DOTs etc etc behave the same way.

It affects poison procs and weapon procs such as gleaming strike off of imbued weapons. How significant that is to the overall DPS of an assassin I think is a matter of opinion. Yeah, I think it does make a difference but if I have the opportunity to take more STR or AGI then I'll take those stats first because STR increases CA damage across the board and AGI gives more power which is very important on those longer battles.

![]() Thank you both for helping me out on this. I think now that I understand the whole int topic a little better I'll more than likely try my best to get anything and everything with str then go for agi and then int. Even though the poision does seem to go off quite a bit I'm thinking the across the board increase that str will give might outweigh the procs. Thanks again! |

Actually, I had some recent trouble with my assassin also and noticed a few things. First, yes str is really important, but also good high mit gear as someone pointed out to me. Don't underestimate poisens though, they make a huge difference in effectiveness and it is because they go off so much with our class that int is important. With AA's I think you can make even more out of poisen effects, they play a big role.
