First off, I think you should look into more than just cool looks when deciding what class to play......could answer any questions you had about the class itself, i think thatd be a bit more helpfull in deciding what you should go with.

Do they get any -fun- PvP skills aside from ambush/stuns/etc? I'm definately into PvP and I've heard they are quite good at doing that. =P

Well, i know for sure we got some AAs that would be fun in PVP.....Intoxication is a long duration Blur vision DoT, and debuff, and im sure itd be fun to knock someone away from you with point blank shot...then again, i dont play an assassin on pvp, so wouldnt know too much about that

Assassinate -- sneaking up and one-shotting mages!

You sound like you just came from WoW. As someone who has a 70 assassin and a 60 wow rogue, I can say the assassin is most similar to rogues in wow except worse in every way. Also, it doesn't really matter what class you pick as far as looks, you're going to look exactly the same as every other scout wearing a nemisis hood.

Yes, I did come from WoW. I also came from MUD, UO, EQ1, DAoC, SoR, etc..

I remember in EQ1 my Wood Elf rogue had a Dark Elf mask. Whenever I was in Neriak I had no problems running around freely. Now that's what I call fun. Anything like that at all in this game? Or for assassins anyway?

Yah, Assassins get a High elf illusion, a rat pet, and a shadow form illusion....though none of them are actually beneficial, just for looks..

As far as looks go, like Sumanye said we all pretty much end up looking the same anyway. But if pvp is what your about, aside from assassinate/decapitating light armor wearers, rouges are far superior to predators, especially on real pvp servers, not just duels. Rogues have 10x the stuns predators have, all we get is useless cheap shot, and point blank if you take it in aa (which I assume you would for pvp), and stuns win pvp fights here for scouts.
