Is there a specific artisan that would support me the most?  I hear that assas use a lot of poisons, if so, is there an artisan type that would save me money and help me in DPS with that?  I appreciate all opinions.

if you enjoy crafting and want to support your assassin at the sametime, def go for alchemist as you will be able to make your own poisons.  the legendary poisons made by players are a step above the normal player made poisons and 2 steps above the store bought ones.  this will not save you money as it will cost u to make them a little less than what you'd buy them for... BUT, if you make extra, u can sell them for a pretty penny.

if you just want to make $$$, i would suggest go armorer or weaponsmith as they seem to make pretty good bank and then you can just buy whatever you need to support your dps.

either way, you just need to put in the time for it.  have fun!

I truely regret not going Alchemist.  Poison is our life blood seriously, with the way rares are now, if you can supply yourself with legendary poisons and not pay for them + sell them and make your own stat potions etc that would be the way to go imho. I chose weaponsmith and basically I gave up after lvl 28  because I seen that everything I wanted that was the best is dropped as far as weapons go, yes trhey fill in and atm Cobalt weps look all shiny but in the end I will be holding 2 dropped weps no doubts about it.  Armor is nifty and I still use cobalt armor but also in the end I know I will be wearing dropped armor almost 100% in every slot. Jewelcraft, to make your own spells, imho isnt worth it because in the end as a alchemist you can make the ink thats used to make your spells so can just pay a JC a few Gold to make them for ya, and basically you can just get them to make your jewelery aswell, but once again, in the end more then likely will end up wearing dropped or quested items. I wish that they woulda gone forward with what they talked about in beta with weaponsmiths/armor/tailors etc way back, they had mentioned they were going to go with something like this. Say your out and about raiding and you kill uber mob _001 and then in that chest is a shimmering red scale, a tradeskiller could take said scale and have seperate way to turn said scale into to seperate imbues, ie fire resist or fire damage, we will use a weapon smith, so weaponsmith dude gets the extract of the scale and puts it onto say a pristine cobalt leafblade, that changes the weapon into a pristine cobalt leafblade of fire that procs a fire based attack, or say the armorer got it, pristine cobalt chain coif of lava with xxx fire resistance. There was talk about being able to make int imbued gear and haste imbued gear etc etc etc I was really pumped and jumped right into weaponsmithing justcause I thought eventually I would be able to make weapons with diffrent procs/abilitities etc off of drops for my guild in the future, our armorer same thing way it was being touted was that tradeskill stuff was really going to be diverse and in some cases really spectacular, oh well i can still hold out hope that one day they will put that in place :smileysurprised:

I went with alchemy and I am very very glad I did.    Being able to use rare damage poisons all the time is great, and it also means I can use the rare special effects poisons plus stat/health/resist potions without having to pay stupid amounts of money for them. Basically most people aren't going to use rare poisons/potions as an everyday thing because they're so expensive to buy, but if you choose alchemy it is easy to do so and almost as cheap as using normal crafted items.  Given that almost all other crafted items are so easy to get, and that poisons and potions are consumables we go through a lot of I think alchemy is one of the best if not the best option for us.

Personally I went jeweler. I loved the idea of making my own skill upgrades, not to mention my own bling-bling!I'm a lazy jeweler, I don't make any items for market, the money I make is off of requested jobs and, whilst by no means rich, I never lack for money. My only regret is that I didn't do my crafting on an alt for the simple reason that (despite never once having gone LFW) I get /tells from people all the time asking for items to be crafted, and usually at the most inconvenient of times/places (and they always seem to want it made NOW!). An alt would've provide some measure of anonymity
