I am loving my assassin at lvl 31. I just have a quick question about these stances you guys keep talking about. what and where is the toggle for these stances and plz explain the use of each stance..ie pros and cons of each and why you would use a certain stance with a certain mob. I am guessin with the def stance you would want to equip a shield?

The toggle is you can just cast it again to drop it or cast the other type to overwrite it.  It's pretty straightforward otherwise if you look at the effects and description of each.  Blade Frenzy gives increased offensive skills and extra proc damage but decreases defense while lethal resolve at 32 lowers offensive skills but increases defensive skills. I wouldnt say to use a shield with the defensive stance but its an option if you want but likely further dps reductions since 1 handed weapons have lower damage overall compared to a dual wield setup.

from my experience there are a few rare times when i would use Lethal Resolve over Blade Frenzy.  times such as these would be if you are in a group and there is no tank (hopefully a couple healers) and u get the job of tanking/pulling.  as long as there are more dps folks in your group, Lethal Resolve will help out your healers just that much more.

other than that, i find Blade Frenzy to be much superior b/c when u switch on LR, u lose attacke benefits from your base #.  with BF, u gain attack benefits from your base #.  subtract LR # from the BF # and you will have 50+ attack difference.  that's huge in light of the dps difference which when soloing or small grouping (especially when you're the one taking hits) the BF added damage will benefit much more by finishing the mob sooner than holding out on the defense.  remember, we're offensive chars and don't have a whole lot to offer on the defensive side.

my 2cp anyway.

I would say it depends what you're doing, heh. Group, I don't see any reason why I wouldn't use Blade Frenzy. But I also solo a lot, so the defencive stances for that are well worth using. Sure you probably can get away with soloing with Blade Frezny, might kill a little faster, but I don't like much down time inbetween kills, that extra avoidance is nice for me in that case. But once again, in groups, I don't see a reason to use it. If I get hit, it's either my fault for doing too much damage too fast and forgetting to do something about it, or a tank that isn't taunting well enough or has crappy taunts.
