Well, this semester went great! And I thought I would pick myself up the new expansion since I have the next 3 weeks off!! YAY, although next week IS exam week - its all good.. Im doing really well and im not too worried.. You will see more of me untill the summer, then its back into breaktime lol SMILEYBut really, whats all the fuss about? The AA's are AMAZING!! Has anyone bothered to look at everyone's AA's? We get the best ones BY FAR for all the dps classes. All the stuff I moaned about earlier... FIXED.. Assassins get a recast reduction, we get a cast redcution, summoners get buffs and extra durations on things and buffs, rouges get more util/debuffs and such.. Right now the CA system should be very well ballanced between rangers and assassins.. I will say that we still require t8 ammo, and that it IS a pain to get but aa's are also easy to get (or atleast they were). Once you get 100 aa's you should have no problem competeing with an assassin with 100 aa's as well..This expansion was not ment to bring in gamechanging things, it was ment for tweaks.. Things to add to the class, things to put more things into..Jay, I am very very sorry you had to go to WoW.. I tried WoW a long while back, and heres why I refuse to play it again..http://roguecraft.com/  these fix's ARE fixed however it took blizzard around a year and 3/4 to fix it.. Everquest fix's things 4 times as quick as WoW, I am not saying EQ isent without its bugs and flaws.. I am the first one to admit they are, however EQ2 has shown time and time again it takes initiative and stay ontop of things, even if it is "too fast for the general public"..  Watch all 3 episodes of this, and comparitively we are the only class with itemization problems (t8 ammo) - it talks about warlock/caster problems in the game quite frequently. As for my life, its been treating me good.. Making all kinds of new friends, been playing guitar ALOT.. And I am going to post a thingie on it sometime this weekend of me playing guitar so you can all scream in agony MOAHAHA!.. Also, I would like to apolagize to the ppl I snapped at on the fourms without cause - that was a rough time for me then people like jay, drizzt (drizz something anyways SMILEY), vollyboy, umm some others.. I forget SMILEYThe only doom and gloom I have on comming back, is my guilds splitup and raidings going to be really hard without the people, that and my toilet is broken.... Anyone wanna fix that for me!? I mean, these are things to whine about! The system has improved alot IMHO.. Also, expect another assassin/ranger comparison with every aa tree and without during my break.. I know I will have plenty of free time on my hands and I wanna stay into that math mindset lol SMILEY - for those of you who dident read my post earlier im taking mechanical engineering. Talking about revolutions and waves all day makes ya dizzy but its fun SMILEYOh BTW - bentgate I DO read the fourms and I am offended by your lil joke there.. I atleast compare data rather than just posting it and put out a point.. Rather than just saying it sucks, or am I just precieved that way?One last thing - is there any good t6 master hunting grounds that I can solo/duo?

WB LoreLady! Glad to hear your semester went well. Are you referring to the joke about you posting in teh combat section.SMILEY? I miss your stoic defense and championing of the Ranger class. It was in no way meant to insult you. I was hoping someone else would pick up your torch where you left off, but, alas there was no brave soul willing to battle the ignorant masses. You are correct in your assessment. You always brought the A-game with numbers and spreadsheets backing your argument. In short, glad to have you back!

I won't argue the AA's, but our diety choices stink. Our weapoin adormanets are crap and the lack of +range stats on items are laughable. Dps wise we still look ok, but due to our crappy blessing/miracles we lack serious spike dmg that other classes have. We had 1 day of hawk dive fun, but devs put that to an end fast.

Look at it from this prospective.. t8 ammo is currently a PURE bonus any adornment that is uber for our bow will be overpowered to assassin weapons etc.. t8 ammo provides about an extra 300 dps, the weapon stuff for assassins provides 48 dmg per attack? (x2) so 96+ dps compared to our 300..  Disclamer, this is 300 dps ASSUMING you have no haste/uber raid buffs.. Using 300 dps as a BASE.

Yea - it wouldbe nice if there was a quest for a trinket for t8 ammo thats ranger only, but t8 ammo is supost to be a bonus.. Maybe there will be one that summons epic arrow sin the future who knows.

LOL, so you're sorry that I don't get bored and frustrated with EQ2, and am instead enjoying the fun and excitement of experiencing a whole new world? Thanks, but don't be. I'm not. SMILEY

I've only been in WoW for a couple months, so I don't know their prior track record, but I started EQ2 shortly after launch - and if you think that SOE doesn't take a year or more to address certain problems, you haven't been playing EQ2 very long. SMILEY  Proc mechanic, anyone? Stealth CAs completing HOs? Arrow consumption? I'm sure someone with a better memory than me can cite more examples. Anyway, I just don't agree that EQ2 takes the initiative to stay on top of things. In my experience, Blizzard tends to provide better service and customer communication than SOE did. But your mileage may vary.

For me, it's a simple question: which game do I currently find more fun to play? The answer is obvious, and all other questions are moot, for now. :smileytongue:

I'm sure there's a mathematical equation to solve it all.

Well its whatever you have fun with..But as far as eq2 goes (taking the arrow thingie aside) - the proc mechanic was around from LU13-LU19ish and was originally given for "ballance" - things were perfectly ballanced in t5 - its when we got the new t6 poisons that things got screwy..And ive been around for four months after launch - its not like I havent been through everything you have jay SMILEYAnd theres an equation for everything.. EQ2+time consumed = No life SMILEY

Yeh but T8 ammo was available pre-eof. I agree that the T8 ammo is key but why should our adorments suck because of our arrows. With our delays 12 extra dmg is pretty unimpressive. If they scale it to acount for delay we might have something, but until then, imo the adorment sucks.

Yea - only 24 dmg is pretty bad if your looking at it that way.. but remember whatlese we have? Look at the heat one? its 45(correct me if im wrong) dmg per attack, look at attacks like precise shot, shocking thrust, vieled fire, and dare I say snipers shot SMILEYUnfortunatly we get one or the other, because honestly - they are going to come out with another adventure pack sometime soon (4-5 months anyways.. they always do) and there will likely be a quested item for t8 ammo - this is PURELY speculation, but when I look at things through sony's eyes its one way or the other not both..Also - I bet sony is tryin to make the descission between hawkdive/soa right now.. If  sony lets SoA stack withthe eof aa and poise - that means a minimum of 1.3k dps(accidently calculated under 0.4s not 0.6s in the ranger channel) - and a max damage somewhere around the 1.8k mark - if they did that it would be too easy.. And if they give us the bird (no pun intended), that means an extra 50 dps ontop of what we already have + fairly consistant utility... SoE might just be trying to play it safe untill they see more live numbers.
