![]() Hiyas, I was reading another thread, and saw an interesting (and disturbing) verbiage from a rather handsome cat-person (Kaeros). Rather than derail that thread, I decided to start a new one. Here's what he said: "Unfortunately, the mobs now run faster than we do, so they can close ranks even when we get a headstart on them." I've been away for a few weeks, and haven't really had time to dig into the boards yet, but is this a recent change? I noticed last night while trying to solo caimans in the Sinking Sands that no matter how far I would run (when things went bad), the [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] little bugger would be right behind me. Pathfinding was up, but I wasn't on my horse, so...what's up? When did this nasty piece of work go into effect? Jowita |

![]() Mobs do run faster now but its not that bad. Trying to prevent kiting but you can still kite just takes a little more tactics. Snares still work pretty well and can stack.

![]() It's not all that new, so it didn't go into effect while you were gone. I can't remember which patch contained that particular change, but it's been around for a while now. Sorry for the confusion.

![]() Ah, okay. Coolio. It just worried me, because during my first venture into the Sinking Sands, the crocs never gave up the chase when I was forced to run (due to adds). Thought maybe it had something to do with faster-running mobs. But if that was put in for LU19, that WAS a long time ago, and it must be that some mobs either act like EQ1 mobs (never giving up), or else some mobs just run faster, and as such, just keep whaling on you. Next time, I'll hop on my horsie before soloing those bass turds. ![]() Thanks guys, Jowi
