The subject says it all. How do we get the new hoods?The more specific you can be, the better.

I haven't gotten a hood yet..but a friend of mine in guild (Coercer) had his class hat drop of a little blue^ named mob in TT. That's the only class hat that I've heard of anyone in my guild finding so far... Anyone else heard anything?

and this is for my ranger brothers.. a bone from a fellow ranger..
ok In barren there is three islands this covers..
quest mob hoo' loh
1) first climb the chain from despond island to strife wind island 2) on in the middle of the link to the wall of rock is tucked away hoo'loh and he will give signature quest.. 3) next he will ask you to kill bunch of vulture birds so drop down and kill them.. 4) climb the chain again... 5) get update... and then he asks you to kill scroll bearer in stifle camp .. go around to the camp .. up the walls and kill the mobs will need a full group.. 6) climb the chain again... 7) next he asks you to get a scroll from Freeport or SQ... it is mage tower in SQ middle beam .. harvest scroll under stairs..
9) last step... go to nest of the great egg... lead hoo loh to the end ring event and kill named and have him commune with the egg.. 10) climb the chain again... get update.. 11) collect bood from scaleborn warrior, dreadknights, centurions, doomwing skarize centruion ... oozee from formless abominations, blod of sothis.... warriors ... are from sanctum dreadknights... reported to be in Vault ...... need to comfirm centurions.... reported to be in halls of fate.... need to comfirm abominations ... rumored to be on one of the satilite islands off hall of fate.... Need comfirmation sothis .... reported to be in halls of fate... need to comfirm 12) climb the chain again... get update..
so there you go ... from one ranger to other rangers... a gift in the time of nerfs... something to put a bit of a smile on your faces...
for SOE ... you see WE do test your content in beta... and we do debug it ... PLEASE we work hard to help you for free.. and pay you to play your game... at least you can do is listen to us when we say ... your numbers are not realistic that you where getting in beta... your Fix is way over the top for live ... Please do something now...

What does this have to do with finding the ranger hoods? There is enough of this on the other threads. Take it there. This thread is for finding the ranger hood.Most of your info was good, but we need more details. For example, what level must you be to accomplish the different parts of this quest?Which parts can be done solo, and which parts do you need a group?What are the stats for the new ranger hood?Specifics, specifics, specifics. |

ok so on discord your supposed to walk across the chain to strifewind? how do ya do that? is there something im missing or is part of the chain actually climbable?

whoot i managed to make the run up that Chain (Wow that a hard one)anyhow i got my quest. i was also able to get the Quest for my Mystic is the same NPC for all the Hats, the quest was the same name lvl 70thenk you for the help to find him

The chain was hard to climb, primarily because of the MASSIVE lag in the zone. I'm glad you posted where the scroll bearer is, I'm hoping to get a full group together tonight to finish this quest, but I wanted to check on one thing, does this guy give the quest for ALL classes?

ok Sweet i thought so when i got the quest on my Gf Mystic as well.but i have heard/read that some of the hats are dropped is that allso True.but yes that chain is not a fun climb.again Karvar thank you for making this post and Walk through. will try to finish it up tonight.

My gosh, I died so many times falling off that darned chain. XD I managed to get it just right by squishing in on the very tip of the link nearest the surface of the island, and then jumping to the next link from there. It's tricky though, and it's a long way down, but once I got that pat I didn't seem to have too much trouble.

Goto Strifewind and catch cloud to Desolation, jump off cloud whilst over the chain and aim well...saves alot of hassle:smileywink:

adon ... as for the lang quest... i have not completed it totaly.. and it worked for me... and i am past the egg part... and to my supprize it was not the end of quest... got to collect blood and such... ok let me explain ... in beta .. had group that tested egg for the gms... and he said for helping him he would show us where the class hat quest was .. ie he was testing both... and at that time it was bugged ... the scroll harvesting part was not updating .. so in beta... i got all to part of killing named in egg .. but got side track testing all the armor crafting and alch posion crafting... but my long time buddy that was with me helping the GM on the egg zone finished it ... but forgot to tell me there was more steps and left me with impression that it was only to kill named in egg was left... i was like ok that is easy enough ... we had done it 3 times already .. and i never went back to do it again .. and got into testing other stuff... you see you do not keep stuff in beta ... so it was not priority to me to actualy get it .. i wanted to see what our posions would be like... anyway.... right now i am runing down the locs of all the mobs we need updates from ... one is in the halls of fate ... and that zone is bugged right now ... trash mobs hitting for 10k pluss... one shoting lvl 64 tanks... it is not duable and has to be fixed to be able to progress Karvar Blackhawk 62 ranger unrest P.s. sorry guys .. i was as supprized as you that it had more steps... but as i promised .. i will keep helping ... and finish this gift to my ranger brothers.. |

I criticized him because he tried to de-rail the thread with his nerf whining. My criticism was justified.He also EDITED his original message, so now it seems more detailed. His original message was rambling and incoherrent.Its also rather ironic, you feel that I insulted someone, and then you immediately insult me. Have you ever heard of the word "hypocrisy?" His first attempt to describe how to get the hood didnt make a lick of sense. If someone posts worthless information on how to solve a quest, I call them on it. odd before the post was edited i could make out what the poster was saying. yes there were typos and yes it may have been a bit tricky to follow it, but none the less i was abe to use it to get to the "Last" part as i cant get group big enough to finish teh egg zone.and thank you agin for posting itstay safe have fun

ok .. i am working hard on this also... my buddy that i was in beta with ... i thought he finsihed the quest.. he told me he gave up after killing sothis ... and not getting update... like i told you we where testing the quest and it was buggy... anyway he talked the gm into just giving him the hat... and never finsihed .. but ... i did get this off beta boards and from picking his brain.. warriors ... are from sanctum dreadknights... reported to be in Vault ...... need to comfirm centurions.... reported to be in halls of fate.... need to comfirm abominations ... rumored to be on one of the satilite islands off hall of fate.... Need comfirmation sothis .... reported to be in halls of fate... need to comfirm working damm hard to find this things... trying to go to the other zones after i clear egg again tongiht ... got to farm egg every day ) Karvar 62 ranger unrest PS... halls of fate ... may still be bugged ... like vault .. trash mobs hitting for 19K plus ... simply no tank can take the beating right now .... Well dam... i edited this ... guess the info not valid now ... sigh all that work wasted.. guess .. i should jsut delete it now ... Kudos to you Karver, Thanks for the help, 99.9999999 % of us appreciate the post, the .00000001% (grey) do not. it's all good. I think i can help with the Abominations. I'm not sure if they are a specifc abomination but i did see abominations in the Bonemire. If you take the cloud pad from the drednever crash site to Halls of fate, you land on an island that is linked to a chain that goes into the middle main isle. It's basically like a big wheel. 5 isles surrounding the middle connected by chains. The abominations are on the isle with a big pond/lake in the middle. i think it's the next isle to the left of the isle you land on. dont have a specific name or anything. THe mobs on the isle you land on from drednever see invis, i just sprint past them and run the chain till they aggro off. Works for me everytime, i throw up def stance too. From there it's pretty easy to get to the rest of the isles, good discovery xp too on all.
