DEVS: Another sincere, non-inflammatory bit of feedback.

I'm a long time player of EQ1 and EQ2. Everything that needs to be said has been said, but to summarize, this patch hit rangers very hard on multiple fronts.There is quantifiable data to support the fact that our DPS was drastically reduced. There are those that are over-reacting, of course, but there are plenty of cool headed players saying the same thing.This change was very drastic. Bow procs HAVE been reduced dramatically. I haven't noticed poison reductions, but really haven't been watching. The inability to move and use our last remaining CA as a "stealth nerf," along with the stun duration, effectively nerfed all 3 of our key soloing skills: triple shot, back up with deiblitating arrow, stun.Can we please get some "vision" for where Rangers are going? In the past patches, we lost our kiting, we lost our melee, we've lost Poisson effectiveness, and now we've lost many of our effective ranged attacks or had others nerfed-- all while having to continually pay for poisons and continually sink money into adapting to our ever changing role in combat.I've stuck by Sony for a while, and you'll notice that I never post on these boards, but I am sincerely re-evaluating my future entertainment expenditures if the dev team cannot make adjustments without overadjustments, or run some effective tests. Regardless of the rationale for doing so, this is ENTERTAINMENT, and when it ceases to be entertaining, a lot of people are going to leave and the attrition numbers will start creeping up.We are all giving you the benefit of the doubt here, so please make it a priority to let us know what is going on.

Well frankly I've had MORE than enough!!The changes and incompetance when it comes to decision making in this game have come to a head for me.After playing Planetside, EQ (on TZ)and then coming here and living through all of the craziness especially in the last couple of weeks and now the "realease" of KoS is pretty rediculous. I have 2 chars among other alts fully fabled and levelled to 60 in both their TS and Adv so you KNOW I put in my time and gave it all the effort and chances I could and I STILL cannot believe the issues that exist and the NEW ISSUES AND PROBLEMS WHICH SHOULD NOT EXIST AT ALL! My main is a Ranger and the last Nerfing takes the cake. This class was terrible for months from level 0-50 then they came out with changes for the better only to whack our class again sooo hard it is unreal. Does NOBODY IN DEV OR AT SOE PLAY THE CLASSES TO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE/SHOULD BE ABOUT? I cannot even touch upon the other classes and things that are still broken from game realease 2004!!Yes, problems are to be expected but certainly NOT of this magnitude topped off with the fact that CUSTOMER SERVICE IS APPARENTLY NON-EXISTANT (Aside from locking threads and ignoring PMs of course lol), well, I can't see putting one more moment of my time or a penny more into this fiasco. I had high hopes for EQ2 but as it is now, what I have seen is a lack of responsible partnership with it's customer base which has in turn made me not even interested in any SOE game with my Station All Access Pass.Good luck to all who decide to struggle though. I for one am exercising my right NOT to be frustrated and ignored!!!!!!!THANK GOD WE HAVE VANGUARD TO LOOK FORWARD TO!!!!!!

well here here goes never posted before and really was trying to decide on what i wanted to do after this expansion and the obvious shunning of rangers in the eq2 community 1) was pack up and go to a game that doeant change the rules every freakn time people whine about other chars 2) take time to actually post and hope for change and just suspend account 3) play an alt and wait....

a rangers only game is damage and death just as an assassins is but in different ways....where we to far ahead of an assassin prolly i give that

for right now gone are the days of using are only skill of death for our fun.... did we kill high lvls solo yes but thats just it that was our fun no utility in a ranger and in soes wisdom to take that away from us they took all usefulness out of us in groups

do i want to flame other classes no but i will point the obvious

there are a few classes out there that could out dps a ranger and out solo but we got the [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] in the butt not to say a ranger who actually played their char to perfection wasnt a deadly machine but the same can be true to other classes

my thoughts are not coherent right now because i am extremely let down by soe and i apologize i just needed to say something,

hopefully thing s will be made right but i will leave with one other thing that really upsets me

KITING is not fun never was never will be,,,,,,,but is sad that can be done and to this matter held against the few who like to spend the insane time to do it, other classes kite a hell of a lot better (cough cough anyone who plays knows this and what classes they are)

in my opinion all kiting should be gone end of discussion and that would have ended alot of the higher solo ^^^ rangers kill not that we couldnt still take ^^^ but it takes more skill and set up to take, yes rangers that know there chars would still be deadly and fun and would still be called overpowered

RANGERS cant win because other classes want to be as deadly as we were but wanted it in there own way and again i am biting my toungue not to flame other classes by name , but if these classes tried a ranger they would know everthing isnt peachy with us we are the one class that actually has a high or had a high learning curve to play with no viable utility other than dps

in fact it make s me laugh our class actually has to plan attacks and move around..... oh no now we get to the jist of the ranger haters they dont like the class because they dont have the patience to play one or like the play style i would love to just stand in one spot and do what i got to do but i wouldnt be a ranger then

thats all and if i posted this in wrong place o well the only thing that is done right with this game is forums are ran half way decent and im sure some moderator will put this where it should go thank you for letting me blow off a little steam in a decent way
