![]() Sorry I'm pretty new, so I dont have the correct terminology. But when I leveled from 7 and once again at level 10 for my class change I got to pick from a list of abilities. I picked Strength both times, but I'm wondering if some of the other abilities would have been better? I'm training toward becoming a ranger in the future. Thanks! (also I'm a barbarian.)

Yah, STR is the way to go (or thats my opinion also), since you'll get enough agility (which affects our power pool) anyway.++Xan

![]() Thanks for the reply. I probably will just stick to strengths. But I'm wondering what those other ones do; if they are good. I saw some +5% cold resist, and one ability that gave me a chance to proc, and some that conjured food? Thanks!

Make sure to pay close attention when choosing. I can't remember the exact wording, but don't even bother with the ones that are not permanent enhancements. They are nearly worthless. Always pick the permanent enhancements. I think the others read something like 'An augmentation placed upon you...', and it will display it's effects, duration, recast time, etc. Avoid those.

yep, i think the wording is just that. my recommendation too, avoid em.i think the proc buff is one of them, and pretty sure the food conjuration. if the summoned food is set at a certain regeneration rate, it's nearly useless at higher levels. same with proc-buff: not enough punch at higher levels. i think the wording for the permanent ones is something like 'enhancment, permanently placed upon you...'. i went for those. but if i recall correctly, they display some of the above (effects, duration, recast) as well. not sure which, just remember it confused me. best bet is to seek the word 'permanently', (or something similar, if i remembered wrong).the +5% cold resist is a permanent one. on what to choose: str is good choice, i chose that too on some of those ability upgrade occasions. but there may be others you want to have too. just avoid the non-permanent stuff. i know i chose resists at some time too; but i have chosen the +ability option before, so i didn't have those to choose anymore. --------------------------Ryilan Nightbreeze -------------------------- |

![]() Strength...agility....eventually you will get another chance to picka again from that list. I would say if a choice is there that gives strength or agility taking either one is a good choice. Both help the ranger, it is just a matter of personal preference...more agility means more mana, while more strength is more dam. from melee attacks. So long as you leave the wisdom or intelligence choices for last, you will be fine
