In the past I have been known to use whips...and happily too...but I would constantly confuse the swishing whip for my swishing tail and would spend hours chasing it. I would suggest the imbued leafblade if you can find one and/or another imbued weapon...a whip would be cool if imbued. I have always ran around with a set of spears and a set of spathas or other slashing weapons. Message Edited by Saihung23 on 11-29-2005 10:48 AM |

![]() Just another weapon, just like any other that a Rangers can use... good or bad depending only on their stats. Used 2 whips on my 30's that was quested while in Zek (Deathfist Utility Whip I think) and they did look pretty cool, except when running (they'd move all over the place like 2 huge worms).
PS: the Najenan Whip has some very nice stats http://eq2.ogaming.com/db/items/NajenanWhip.php

![]() As the najenan whip does have some nice stats it unfortunatley has no proc to it. I personally feel that we will do better dmg with weapons that can proc damage. Primarily because using a long bow it simply procs more often than the % listed on the wep. And by the time you can use the najenan whips you will be using your bow most of the time while grouping and or soloing. Now this is all a matter of oppinion, I myself have passed on every t6 fabled wep that has no proc and still use my Shield of striking and prismatic due to the procs they pocess. So if your deciding between whips with no proc and other weps with procs. I would suggest the other weps that can proc dmg as opposed to the slight stat upgrade you may get form whips. But all procs aside the whips I dont think make much of a differance from a short sword . etc. Leoric |
