Can anyone shed some light on how arrows work vs level? Do they have tiers? I've seen different types of arrows available but I'm unsure as to whether the different ones make any difference to how much damage you do depending on what level you are at. Can't seem to find any info from SOE about this.

For instance, do feyiron arrows(while costing more than iron arrows) do more damage for say, a 21st level ranger, than a 19th etc. level ranger?

Basically, would it be wasting money to buy these arrows(much the same way buying higher level food is) at a lower level?

Cheers and thanks!

EDIT: ok just read the other post on regular bows, so my next question is what are the corresponding arrow levels?

Arrow tier lvl only matters on auto ranged attack now.  CA Bow dmg is independent.

As for your question..

Tier 5 lvls 40-49, Fulginate/ Ebon.  You can also buy Indium (spelled something like that) does slightly better dmg and costs the same.  I guess thats the tier 6 stuff for when they raise the lvl cap.

Tier 4 lvls 30-39, Feyiron/ Feysteel.

Tier 3 Lvls 20-29, Carbonite/Steel.

Tier 2 lvls 10-19, Iron/Blackened Iron.

Tier 1 lvls 1-9, Tin.  I forget what the tier 1 rare metal is.

As for useing arrows from a tier way above your lvls, I don't know.  I never really tried it out.  It really doesn't matter to much, since the arrow tier has no effect on the CA bow dmg.
