so with the mitigation of medium and light being very close together.. and it being that the higher your armor the less you avoid... i wonder if it makes sense to drop to light armor as a ranger ? hopefully someone on test will "test" something like this.

you forgot that they also adjust the mitgation on the armor.- The base mitigation values of armor have been adjusted as follows: Heavy (35%), Medium (25%), Light (20%), Very Light (10%).But whit the

 - The type of armor you are wearing. The heavier your armor, the lower your chances of avoiding an attack.

and

- Increasing your Agility improves your base chance of avoiding an attack, but it will not improve your likelihood of parrying, deflecting, or blocking with a shield.

I think that I will use Light Armor after the Patch, for I'm a Ranger, and I have a higt AGI, so right now my Avoiding is 60 and Mitgation us 35, and after LU#7I want to have a higt Avoiding, for I don't thing that my Mitgation will ever get up there

It's probably still far to early to speculate considering we still do not have specific data as to how some aspects of avoidance and mitigation will work.  Although the mitigation modifiers by armor type are given, nothing was mentioned as to just how much more you will avoid when wearing lighter armors.

I would say that armor availability could have more an effect on the choice of which type to go with, at least at the 40+ of the game.  Currently, 8 classes use medium armor as their heaviest armor choice, vs. 4 classes for light armor.  With the T5 rare tradeskilled armors, ebon carries a much higher market value due to it's wide range of uses in tradeskill items/BBC heritage, so it can be hard to come by unless you harvest it yourself.  On the Unrest server, even the loot dropped ebon goes for about twice as much as a rare T5 imbued light armor.  If you can afford a few pieces of the rare tradeskilled light armor to wear instead of treasured or common crafted medium armor, you could almost eliminate that 5% mitigation gap while gaining the benefit of increased avoidance for wearing a lighter armor.

I don't think that it will completely affect our choices in armor as some think it will.  Sure we will lose some avoidance, but we will be gaining a little mitigation.  But it's way to early to speculate, we can only guess right now.  So I wouldn't go out and buy a full set of light armor imbued atm until we actually see the changes go live.

Personally i have some rare t5 armor imbued (only bp and leggings since those can be imbued) has better stats then ebon but lower mitigation the procs on it rule though, Bp heals and leggings do damage SMILEY. I rather buy black ebon armor for the rest of the pieces since the stats are pretty ncie compare to the player made ebon and way cheaper. If you get an ebon i recommend making some weapons SMILEY.
