Are there any? Reason I'm asking is because I just found the Light Armour quest in Zek and wondered if there are any that result in Medium Armour rewards. I'm still wearing my Tradelink leggings at 31 due to there being nothing better on the market that I can either afford or that is a decent upgrade SMILEY thanks, Nul.

I'd be interested to know this as well. You could also use www.eq2.ogaming.com to do a search on quests in X zones that give an armor reward for rec. levels 30-35, but that might yield mixed results.

RE: upgrades, you might want to consider looking for some pristine carbonite chain. I recently upgraded all my Trade Link except the chest piece and the arms to pristine carbonite chain and it was worthwhile, IMO. If you can't find anything reasonably priced and you just happen to be on Butcherblock, let me know. One of my guildies is doing pristine chain and will take custom orders. Good luck  SMILEY

I've kicked around EL and Zek a fair bit. I don't recall seeing any quests that yield a set of medium armor (or heavy for that matter).

Player made is probably the easier way to go.

I got a couple of med armor pieces from D'morte unearthing zone.  They con orange at 32, but the stats and mitigation are almost identical to the trade-link stuff.

I had a nice pair of leggings drop from a young badger in EL as well.

Player made is probably the way to go if you can afford it.

Nek Castle has a series of Chain Armor quests.  Talk to the Necro right by the entrance, do his quests.  The reward is Ravenring armor.

I just had a ludicrous run of luck in EL last night, killing turtles, wasps, deer, bettles, etc. Was duo'ing with my new friend Redegar (31 zerker and an aggro magnet, I love this guy), and we got some great medium armor drops. I picked up enchanted grove leggings, enchanted grove sleeves, and a Spring (Adept1) upgrade, all within about an hour or so. Redegar was very cool about the loot; he declined the lotto on any drops that could upgrade my equipment or spells. Great to see more people following the NBG idea.

Seems like EL has some great loot in general - I'd already gotten the enchanted grove boots, a nice pair of medium armor gloves, and a Misthide light armor helm (this last was a quest reward). I've only done a bit of questing in EL and a few Far Seas Requisitions, but the rewards have been nice. I actually have a box of about 6-8 "can't use yet" items in my bank that are just waiting for me to level. Last night I dinged 30 (woot!!) and finally got to use Toranim's Dagger (Dusty Blue Stone quest) and the Sturdy Oak Belt that I got from finishing Drodo's quest in EL. All in all, a pretty productive evening! SMILEY

Need Before Greed = Standard for a good group IMO.

Yeah, Need before Greed. Basically means that on any given drop, a party member that can actually use the item in question should be given that item. That's easy when you're two ppl in a zerker / ranger duo b/c there will be very little overlap in equipment; harder when you're in full groups and 2-3 ppl could use that sweet pair of light armor boots. I've found most pickup groups adhere to some form of the NBG idea, but certain players are better than others about it. Redegar was very gracious and generous. I ended up winning a decent klakrok spear later on (with another person in group) and I just handed it off to Redegar to try and repay some of his kindness. I'd had quite a haul as it was. SMILEY
