Hawk pet bug?

I decided last night to try to keep the pet up, since I hadn't really played with it since I got it. My partner pulled a hawk type bird and my bird and it started to fight. Once my hawk died the bird got the "no exp" icon on it and we had to let it go. Couple fights later we are pulling a couple of gnolls and the bird ends up in the fight some how and that makes a "no exp" icon again....this time with my hawk still alive. After this happened on a 3rd pull I killed the hawk and stopped using it. Anyone else having this happen? No biggy really, just wondering.

My hawk has tanked a couple mobs in his time and i'v never goten the no exp symbol from him attacking or being attacked by somthing. With it happing that many times w/ dif mobs and ur pet being alive and dead, id have to say its prbly somthing you or ur group was doing (mayb someone was yelling on accedent?) hope this helps

There was only two of us and neither of us hit/used the yell command. I thought maybe something was done in the last patch that caused it. I might try it again some time and see. Maybe in a different zone as it all happened in TS. Thanks for the feedback on it.

I think I have seen this, and always thought that when a pet dies, there is a bug that prevents exp?

I've experienced it as well, but didn't really make the connection. I'm gonna test it when I get on.

perhaps once engaged your pet's level is added to group average and effecting critter's con down to grey.

How can this happend considering all the flippin bird does is hover midair like a colibri doing crap all!

I could believe that a area attack from a mob might cause it to do something... but in that case I'd consider that a bug since the "Friendly Hawk" is supposed to be friendly and "ooohh-ahhh" ish

ive actually got my hawk to tank a few times myself .. only actually tried it soloing tho due to the fact of hate lvls .. anyway i engaged and evaded right away .. as soon as i evaded the mob i was atking turned on my mob .. thus turning his back on my and atking my mob i can now stealth and use my most powerfull moves SMILEY

as far as grouping is concerned .. if i have agro in a group w/ my bird out and i evade the agro just goes to the next hate lvl .. usually the main tank that hasnt really been tauning and why i had agro in the first place .. so the bird wont get agro.. i think our pet tanking is more of a solo concept
