Hey folks,

not usually one to complain, but i saved up for weeks to "upgrade" this song from adept 1

spent around 5 plat for the moonstone.

adept 1

when target is damaged this spell will cast serenade on targets attacker

decrease threat of target by 108 on targets attacker (if not a fighter)

decrease hategain of group members (AOE) by 40% (if not fighter)

adept 3

when target is damaged this spell will cast serenade on targets attacker

decrease threat of target by 127 on tagets attacker (if not a fighter)

decrease hategain of group members by........40%(if not fighter)

terrible terrible waste of plat

it looks like the primary benefit of this spell does NOT increase (the reduction of hategain for the party)

and the secondary benefit (you know the one where a party member non ftr pulls aggro and is usually one shotted) is increased slightly.

I feel so bad now

I've been wondering why i should upgrade this for since i got the adept1, i recall the dev post saying alin's would no longer reduce hate by more than 40%, which is what alin's calming was at master1

I bought the Master version in guild with DKP. Wasn't paying too much attention, just saw the spell and figured "It's higher level and a master, it must be better". Spell has 145 hate decrease and still capped at 40%. Wish I'd saved the points now

The haste spell is also a weak upgrade.  From the level 56 version at master to the lvl 70 version at ad3 there is no % increase.  They are both at 23% increased haste to the group.  I want my moonstone back :smileysad:

The scaling on our spells is pretty weak really, even our damage abilits didnt see very much of an increase really, execialy thoughs that will not be replaced the next level cap increase. Now Serenade is a pathetic upgrade,Master I lvl 52 - > 40% hate gain reduction, 99 points of hate reduciton if person is hit( not sure if this is hit or takes damage, either way pointless)Master I lvl 66 - > 40% hate gain reduction, 147 points of hate reduction if person is hit ( "same as above" ).And it seems that the spell is broken to hell,   I dont have the information to prove this but supposable a few other have done the research on this and found it may actualy increase the hate gain of  non fighters.I do notice that casters will normaly die quite often in my group if i am using this ability.

Ya a lot of the T7 troub spells don't scale very well and are not worth the moonstone to go from ad1 to ad3.  I paid for 5 spells to be upgraded to ad3.  1 of them was Alin's Serene Serenade and I agree it is not worth the upgrade.  In my opinion there were only 3 worth upgrading.  Raxxyl, Daelis, and Bria's Inspiring Ballad.  I upgraded Reverie just for the hell of it.I gather for moonstones a lot and have gathered enough to ad3 all the t7 spells, but why should I for the extra minimal damage on spells.  I've just been selling them for 4-4.2p a piece and upgraded my gear instead.I really wish the devs would fix our Alin's, charm, requiem and increase the scaling of songs to make it worth the moonstone to ad3,  but I'm guessing that they're too busy right now fixing rangers, nerfing pet classes, etc.
