![]() I'm in a raiding guild, and we raid all the dof zones instances. As far as I know, INT helps troubadours in mage groups during raids a lot more than more str. (Maximizing Aria and Maestro damage for 4-5 mages is much better than 20-30 more damage per weapon swing) I even use mage armor in raids to get to max int. The problem is, most scout drops (of which there arent a lot anyway) give STR AGI STA. These are good for predators and rogues, but less good for us troubs. On the other side, lots of mage only jewelery and armor drop during our raids, which I'd love to use but can't. My idea is to make mage jewelery, and maybe armor too, usable by bards too. I'd definately use all those +20 and +25 INT items |

You don't really need them though. If you are in a group of 4-5 mages and can reach 140-180 int on your own, the buffs from the other mages should get you over the 420 cap easily. Minding you aren't with all wizards, or illusionists, or warlocks etc. One of each is great. I can reach over 500 int with a wizzy, coercer or illusionist, a necro and conjuror. I'm not sure who's buffs im getting most of the time, but i concentrate on my str/agi/sta so i myself can get into the melee action too. If your mages you get grouped with have Ad3 or M1 int buffs, you won't have to worry. Let the buffs take care of it. If you can get even within 60 pts of the cap you are fine. Int will raise the dmg output of arias and maestro but that is only a *Potential* dmg output figure.

Its out there, The Purple Piper has bard only loot. A few days ago I got the braclet from there. 20 int/str a few other stats and 720 something to resist. He also has a bracer thats about the same stats.

![]() I am a 57th Troub and I regularly reach 447 Int in most raid without any Fabled. The Int Mage buff (the wizard's Fist of the Tyran, eg), our own self-buff (+150 Int Adept III) and a Legendary Potion (+47 Int) are enough to reach this with a Full Cobalt (except for the shoulders, to get Int, and the Efreeti Boots) and a T5 Rare Doll. I often gain one concentration slot now by dropping our Daeli's down, especially when in MT group (rare occasion thought still occuring).

I have a 56 Troubador and a 54 Ranger, so I know the challenge of getting high intelligence on my Troub, while additionally trying to keep high scout stats.
It's not laid in our laps, but it can be done. Currently, with NO FABLED gear and no potions... self buffs only, my Troub has 300 intelligence, 240ish strength, and 230ish Agility, wearing all Chain armor. In a raid with other class buffs, my Intell regularly gets into the mid to upper 400's. Mage armor may provide excellent intell, but it's not necessary... and is not the best a Troub can use. Keep your eyes on the market and have your guild-mates report to you on Chainmail drops with Intell stats. Be selective and you will do just fine. whoa, a raid without a single bard!? W T F! thats blasphemy!:smileytongue: Wow man, I never thought I would see the day that no bards would be present on a raid, but that takes the cake. Thats almost like saying, lets raid without a tank. :smileywink:

I have the bracer from the Purple Piper and am hoping the Bangle will drop sometime soon. Lockjaw also drops a 20 Int ring which I was fortunate enough to get this week. I've run into the same int vs agi debate myself. There have been times when I've been tempted to keep some mage gear around and just wear cloth on raids for the int. In some ways, the stat cap at least keeps us from going completely out of character!
