![]() After the recent changes my troubadour feels completely debilitated when playing solo. Green^^ used to be doable (long fights but doable). Now they wipe me. Non ^^ or ^, I can still solo some blue's, white's however are questionable and yellows impossible. Fighting greens is all thats left basically and only doing those feels like work instead of play. Most quests i undertake now need to have become green (grey mobs, make that really grey mobs). Since most require you to kill grouped mobs. In other words soloing isnt worth it anymore. And our role in groups has also become....well, read any other thread. Maybe they can make solo play more rewarding and more fun (than it is now) for the troubadour by adding some solo buffs. Buffs you only would use when soloing. The Bard class is supposed to be versatile. So let us be able to pick and choose some SELF ONLY buffs that are usable in solo situations. A better regenarate (so it is usefull, the group regen is a wasted spell) A better manasong A better proc song (let it count, higher damage, better proc chance) And please some sort of backstab options for solo play. (upgraded dirty tricks) Kick the mob down, run around and stab. This could be fun since its a break from hitting the same buttons only. Make the troubadour self relient as Bards are supposed to be. Troubs were fun to play, make it so again |

All up arrow mobs are now heroic "meant to have for 3 to take on", there are green, blue, white, yellow, etc mobs that are solo, and are doable by us, im currently a 27 Troubador I have no problems taking on the white skeletons in Thundering Steppes near Tower 4, the ones that are solo tho; if I were to move the the right a bit and try to take on the same whites that are heroic I will die very fast.So you see this is how it was meant to be played,I have not seen anyone of a close lvl take on these heroic mobs solo and live through it

![]() Sadly, I've seen Paladins of an equal level to me take down green "heroic" mobs. With their ability to tank and heal themselves they can easily outlast the mobs power bar and triumph. I've not been able to solo a green heroic mob at all since the big patch. Mobs knife through my agility no matter what I do... It kind of makes me sad as there are way more heroic mobs than solo ones.

I don't know how much harder it gets later on, but at lvl 11 my Warrior can take on 2 green Heroics at once and have 50% health and about 80% power. I bet it gets harder though, lol.

![]() at 31 I could solo a double up green lvl 27 skelly mob in TS. It took a while, but I kept stunning and backstabbing it. I stacked 3 AGI/STR songs which got my STR up to 150 and my AGI around 200. Whenever I join up in a group and buff with my songs, they mostly cry of joy....hehe

![]() I agree totally, At 38 I can't solo a blue^ or even green^. Even since they screwed with how high stats effect things our usefullness in groups and out ability to solo has gone down hill, fast. I watch Pallys and SK's solo green^^ mobs all the time in RE and I can't even solo a green^ or yellow solo mob? And I have no idea what they were talking about when they said they were going to put scouts above fighters in damage, I easily get outdamaged by most monks and brusiers my Lvl and some of everyother fighter class, so either they need to bring back how high stats effect things, or give us combat skills that actually do some damage. And no my armor and weapons don't suck. I use PGT and Pristine forged feysteel hand axe, and my AC is around 4500, self buffed agi is 220ish ... Message Edited by AtomicSlug on 03-07-2005 07:45 AM |

![]() Last night I soloed a double up green lvl 28 mob in Nek (I was 32). 153 STR, 209 AGI (self buffed). I have no probs on taking down a solo lvl 31 mob. Learn how play your class. Things arent always as easy as a press of a button.

![]() Trabbart said: "Make the troubadour self relient as Bards are supposed to be." Other than that statement I tend to concur with what he said. My friend, a Bard, whether a Dirge or Troubador, is supposed to be a group-mate. Troubadors especially so, with our group songs. I know we'd all like to be viable soloers, but I for one, would be happy if they would make us even better group buffers. If there's no one there to hear me sing, then what's the use?

Well I'm a soloist, chose Troubadour because I thought it was the more defensive of the two(and I'm a defense nut) and Bard because in EQOA, the Bard was a solid soloer(Hymn, Anthem, Symphony, Dirge, go at it)I do believe we get a heal song later on, but it's pathetic I hear. All I want is a viable way to heal myself, and I'm fine, I can still take green^^ at 26 with 135 agi, but it eats me big time. And you can backstab during battle.Cheap Shot - (Stop Melee attacks) - Enemy is dizzied, swing around, smack him with Taffo's brilliant blade. Can't use it on as fast a recast, but can use whenever cheap shot is up.

![]() You have a viable way to heal yourself. Buy a healing potion. Oh. You meant a free way. My bad.
