I have a 30 Brigand on Venekor. I really have enjoyed him pve, but in pvp, it just aint happening. I have read almost, if not all, the guides for how to play one, but when the crap hits the fan, I choke. I thought it was not spending enough time playing him, so I spent more time playing him, but it just aint working for me.

I would say someone please tell me what I am doing wrong here.... I get owned by blues for pete's sake, and I have steel weapons, steel armor, and all adepts/masters, save a couple of skills. I use curb. imbued leather satchel, and feyiron axe. I did everything I was supposed to do, hell, I even setup macro's.

It really seems my main issues center around 2 things. Getting position on people for my attacks, and the lack of enough hands/fingers to move, attack, click, etc etc, all at once.

Also, how do you effectively detaunt? It never seems to work for me.

Last, I am having a hard time targetting players. I always end up having to click the player, which really is akward when you are already short hands/fingers...

So, anyway, that is that.... please dont respond with L2P. I am dam aware of that. I just would like some real tips to how to use this class effectively. At this point, I would rather play my necro, wizzie, or hell, even my SK. They are all alot easier to fight with, dont require position, and I am successful with them.  On my Brig, for being all uber for pvp, he sure does suck from my perspective.

Oh, and I do have see invis, see stealth, and also have 2 level 22 str hex dolls.

i reccommend using the left hand for movement with QWEASD and using the mouse to activate your skills.then it's just a matter of arranging them in a way that's comfortable for you to stun, hop, and stab.effective ways to de-taunt? kill the tank.and rain hell upon their targetting as well with evade.

which skills actually make them drop target? Does Beg for Mercy also do that?

Never had an issue with PvP since lvl 15 playing Brigand, lose some, win most...at least one on one. I would recommend trying a set up as mentioned by Crimson Dragon, works for me and I don’t have all the fancy equipment and masters yet.

I would also like to know what skill makes us drop target in one on one pvp…

any of the evade line skills.going into stealth causes them to lose their target if cast while you're not being hit.the hate decreasing, stealthing skill causes them to lose their target.the baffle adversaries line has a 15% chance to proc a de-target every time you land a hit as well.beg for mercy may cause them to lose their target too, but i've never tested it.your taunt will force them to target you.amazing reflexes will have a 5% chance to do a "pvp taunt" when you hit.either way, i beat a bruiser in a duel with my troubador on pve because of evade.i believe they'll get you on target again as soon as you hit them, but if you're moving around (which in pvp, why the heck aren't you? you can 'cast' everything on the run) you're going to be hard to target if you're not hitting them. and that leaves time for your recast timers, which are pretty long.that's been my experience, though i've not had the opportunity to verify all of it with 100% certainty.if any of you have the chance, and are actually on a pvp server, check this information just to be sure it's accurate.:smileyhappy:
