I am just wondering how worth it people think the 15 extra points in offensive are?

It seems alot to spend 8 points in, when we already have a HO that gives us that.. how often do we make sure that is up??

No idea if it would be possible to work out approximate dps gain.

Very minimal, I don't think it's worth most people's eight points. That said, I have it, because I'm a sucker for anything that says fencer SMILEY

I like being able to remain in defensive stance now and still be able to make contact with npcs without having to have major +pierce stats on my equip to achieve this.  This + will come into play more when you start fighting orange or red npcs.

I currently have it myself.  I dont rely on it so much for the + to hit but for the + to defense skills.  But with the combanation of the 2 I can be in Defense stance with minimal amount of effect on the + pierce/slash and such.  While in turn take very little to no damage at all from some mobs due to a higher defense rating.  Note though I also have set my character up to have abit more + defense items and such to help with this also.

I think it's pretty [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] good. It mitigates the negative effects of our stances, so for small groups, soloing and PvP it's great. Combined with 8 points in Freehand Reversal (8% riposte/360 parry), my Avoidance in offensive stance (adept 1) at level 60 is 41.8% (with crappy equipment), in Defensive (app 2) I go up to 53.9% avoidance, and am still only 5 points of slashing below the norm for the level.

The defensive abilities are more significant than the offensive ones. However, you can't rely on using Swindler's Luck in raids, so if you have trouble hitting in a raid, Swindler's Luck won't be of help. Everyone in the raid just can't stop using CA's and Spells to let you proc it.

Your right about the Raid situation... but you neglect to remember that you can stay in the Offensive Stance or even No stance while in these situations.  At which point you are gaining to Defense and Offense skills with No Stance( you just lose the inturrupt and added damage from it).  Or you gain back some but not all of your Defense from being in the Offensive stance.  And being at a higher skill you will miss less and hit more.. this can be good and bad.. lol.  Just make sure to have the anti aggro buffs and poisons going. You need to make an HO macro,  link a useablity for your HO starter and double-cross to both start and advance the HO quickly to get your swindlers luck off.  It works like a charm.  I've constantly got swindlers luck up on raids.

the thing with the offensive abilities is they are [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] easy to get high up, i mean self buffed you cna get to 410 readily if not higher and with grps you cna get 500+  i mean unless your choosing it for the defensive attributes coule isnt worth the 8 points imo
