Betraying Swashbuckler?

Is it possible to start in Qeynos and then betray and still become a Swashbuckler? Or is it positively only able to be one if you remain "good"?

Nope, I believe you gotta do the quest before lvl 18 or something like that, this is one thing i was really against. I didn't have the freedom to actually choose the class i wanted to be or the place i wanted to hunt in. I would've like to be a swashbuckler in freeport as well=p. Regardless though I really enjoy the game and think they did a great job.

Yeah I know the betrayal quest caps at level 17, but does that mean you cannot pick Swashbuckler upon dinging 20 on Freeport side? I know some classes are reserved, didn't know if Swashbuckler was one of them.

Nope, Freeport side, you can only be a Brigand.

When you hit lvl 18, the betrayal quest is deleted. You can no longer betray after this.

You cannot start the swashbuckler hallmark quest before level 18.
