Been playing defiler on Nagafen (PvP) and having a lot of fun.  Lots of tools to work with and I'm pretty handy to have around in PvE.
In PvP, I'm a monster to kill.  I haven't died 1v1 yet (or even 2v1) but on the same lines, I can petty much destroy anything same level as me to 50%, then they start to run.

If my AOE fear is down (or the enemy is more than 3-4 steps from me) I have no way of slowing them down.  Then it just becomes who runs out of power first while sprinting.  Pet does absolutely no pursuit damage, even if I have him SoWed.

So I have DoTs and debuffs for pretty much everything, do I ever get a snare or stun?  I've checked the Ogaming website and don't see any, but I think the list is from pre 1-20 spell update.

I can do great with groups in PvP, but as any of you who have played the server know, organized group PvP--people not running out of range, assisting, etc--just hasn't happened yet.  So I find myself looking for fights whenever I'm travelling from place to place.

Any insight appreciated.

What level is your Defiler? Mine is only at 17 but going well so far. Havent done much Pvp with him yet but will soon. I'm not sure if we get anything with a stun or snare efect but watch the brokers. There are charms and things you can buy that has snare effects. They should be relatively cheap once the crafters start mass producing them.

My defiler is 48 on Nagafen.

We rarely lose.

We have tangled with the high level Qeynos groups several times, several times giving up 6+ levels.

In one such occasion we wiped in RE, just as our last person died a level 40+ group of Havoc strolled up. They smelling blood evac'd and attacked us as we were leaving RE.

With no buffs, no pets for our two necro's one of which is my other character, we crushed them. Our group generally attributes this to the wards I throw up.

It is extremely difficult to punch through the wards, if you have a secondary healer in your group, like a fury or warden their hots can make it look like nobody they are attacking is actually taking damage.

The few losses we do have, is when we get caught with our pants down and they assist train me. Usually however I get crafty and try to use terrain to my advantage. Hide behind a stump and spam heals/wards. Run up a steep hill so I am out of the immediate plane of vision. Or if I have to I will just plain kite their DPS while our DPS cuts them up.

I'd wager that right now in group vs group pvp Mystics and Defilers are public enemy number 1. If you can't kill them, you are going to have a large portion of your CA's blunted on huge wards.

If one looks at my PvP stats, I believe my character Osium has about 14 deaths, 10 of which were to the same group on TS docks I was keeping interested while the cavalry showed up ;p
