Was trying to find out more about your pets. I have Always played druid and shamans in eq1. Now in EQ2 I have a lev35 fury and in the future thinking of mystic or defiler. When do you get your pets. damage output and any other info you can share. Thanks

We get our pets at level 20 when you get your first AA, before yesterday's patch the pets dps was 10-40dps depending on your group make up and AA's picked.  You could go nothing but pet AA attacks and up your pets DPS even more but in all hes just a boost, and platform.  He has next to no HP so if attacked he dies fast (think he has around 600-700hp at level 70.

He is fun, but if your looking for damage and utility your fury is the better choice.

I had parser running while playing my bruiser one night in RV with a 36 defiler and pet DPS was around 5 or 6.

He isn't too bad for soloing -- I usually pull with two stamina debuffs, activate autoattack, send the pet in, drop 2 DoTs.  As long as you don't let the pet attack before you do, he generally won't take hits and die.  Activating rabies (AoE DoT) though will often get him killed though if I do it too early in the battle.Doesn't do a lot of damage, but then again neither do I, so every little bit helps. The key is to make sure you turn off the protect me and protect himself buttons so that it doesn't jump into battle until you send it in.  I wish there was some way to default them to off, because they turn on automatically when you zone.
