Having just returned to the game after a 6 month layoff, I will most likely be spending most of my time soloing untill I get a good feel for my mystic again.  I was wondering if any of you can suggest a good place to solo for a level 40-41ish shaman.  I have been trying to solo in rivervale, but most of the mobs are heroic.  I would like a place with solo blues and whites, or weak yellows.

Thanks for the advice.

Everfrost Trench. Its easy to get to the mobs are melee based not magic based the only aggro mobs are solos quest starters drop fairly frequently that you can keep for when you group here There are two solo writs here if you are interested in guild status There are a mix of one mob encounters and 3 mob encounters (solo con wolves) There are some heroics if you happen to pick up other folks And probably some other stuff I forgot. I started here when I was 41.  You may want to get a few T4 adept 3s if at all possible.  Mourning Soul, and the two dots in particular would be a big help.

Everfrost is good place, but if you have DoF, I would suggest Sinking Sands as well.  There are good number of mobs that are single and non-heroic. Plus combine it with some repeatable quests from SS and MajDul, and it's good xp. If you have the SP pack, then I would suggest that as well. Don't worry about the level 45 supposed cap for DoF..I started there at 39.

What is your goal ? Are you trying to gain levels as quickly as possible?  Are you trying to gain cash?  Loot? My suggestion for leveling as quickly as possible is to do Harclaves as often as possible.  While waiting for your Harclaves timer to reset, choose between:  Lavastorm Beach, Bitterwind Trench (Everfrost), Sinking Sands Beach. All of those are very "solo friendly".

I did Harclaves, the upper tunnels and writs from level 35-46 or so then moved to Sinking Sands where I started doing all the quests I could find. At around 48 I added Maj quests, the tears grifter quests and coin guards to the mix to get my court of truth (my guild's choice) faction up. Levels 46-50 went super fast with a ton of discovery and quest experience.

I did have more cash when I dinged level 40 than I do at level 50, guessing it's because of harclaves.
