As I do the slow creep up the ranks (Day 1 character only in the low 50s) I see that Ring of Fire's reuse timer was increased to one minute on test.  Does that make the pet not able to be used constantly?

Yes that does make the pet unable to be used all the time.with the 30sec recast and duration was very handy when you got a crap load of adds, not to kill them but to help while you spam all your heals and hope not to get agro so you can survive.Taylon 70 FuryNajena

It does suck usually if you kept agro on you and not your pet by the time the spell timer ended it was ready to use again =/ Ring of fire was a life saver for me a few times and would be good if they made the spell last longer since the recast is longer

This change is complete B. S.  There is no reason to make the recast one minute except to irritate people

Ring of Fire is not overpowered.  Noone uses it with much frequency in raids or tough zone groups.  The only thing it's used for is soloing and / or groups in outdoor zones where adds aren't an issue.

 here is the newest test message that was slipped into the 5/10 dated topic.

"Priest changes:
- Defiler:Spiritual Circle: Increased reuse time to 2 minutes and no longer toggles recast timer.
- Warden: Protecting Grove: Increased reuse time to 90 seconds and no longer toggles recast timer. Increased hit points of the tree by 250%.
- Warden: Tranquility: Reduced power cost.
- Fury: Ring of Fire: Reuse timer increased to 1 minute."

This nurf just sucks. The ring of fire already had the hit points nurfed to about 200 hit points..it dies from one hit. This spell has already had its damage reduced couple months ago,it's frequently restisted and if you read the 5/10 change it will be reduced *again* in damage.

and now a 1 min recast on a 200 hit point pet...

this nurf just sucks hard..wheres the hit point addition for this one hit kills it wonder?

that spell guy , I'm sick of the way he's ruining everything that many people have enjoyed and out leveled.

Yes, It's a bad nerf... But we still being a great class.I really only need the circle of fire when soloing groups. I like a lot this spell and I have it on Adept III. And I hate this change. But I'm glad cause we still being some of the lower nerfed classes.Other classes have bigger nerf so do not complain too much and let's hope they do not nerf us any other spell SMILEY cause It's looks like they are fixing all the spells of all the classes.

what spell he's changing, see call of storms hah I wouldve loved call of storms to be a ae dmg spell+stun to the mobs, what a complete [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn]

that dev is he doesnt even know what spell hes changing and what it does.

These nerfs are unwarrented and bet your [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] Im gonna send quite some feedback back to the devs.

IMHO they just changed this to match the other dumbfire and swarm pets.  I bet if any class has not had theirs changed yet it will before the update goes live.  I doubt they will change it back without changing the others (which i dont see happening), but maybe they can give it a little more hp or damage to help counteract it.  I doubt ours provided the same dps as the others that were initially targeted (but i could be wrong)

Tested this spell over and over again in test...trying all different options.  The pet dies after the first damage hit.  Never once was I able to get it to last any longer!  So in reality it was like a little mini nuke on the mob - and not all mobs in a group if I had a group!  My killing swarm did more damage to the mobs then this spell!  Has anyone else noticed this?  Call of storms meanwhile - wow!  End results - discard ring of fire from your hotkeys and pop call of storms back!!  Seems we gave up one spell to get another fixed.

Call of storms for me was always a "Look what i can do" light show spell.Don't ever use it in groups or solo Doesn't always hit mobs in AOE of itHits targets that happen to wonder in range halfway into itStuns me In the time it takes cos to cast i could do the same amount of damage with Thunderbolt and Starnova can doCan we plz get a run of the mill AOE damage spell like 90% of the other classes

cos is actually quite nice now on test, they could shave up the recast a litle to be more in line with defile to 2 min recast.

But im fine with how cos is on test.

Ring of fire dying in 1 hit i havent noticed yet will try again today on test, as how it is now that all aggro goes to the caster this spell should have infinite hp imo.

especially with a recast which is quite long.

Sorry...should have put in my post that I was on test server!  Cos is definately  a lot better - everyone should be extremely happy if they keep it where it is currently!   Rof seems to have switched places though (.

Tried again on test today budgi and ring of fire wasnt dying on me, what mobs were you killing, cause Id like to test that maybe they ae and kill it or something?

And yes rof of course got a nerf with the recast change :/

The increase in RoF cast time is disappointing. I don't think it will effect my number of deaths but it will increase fight lengths. Heh, it might even reduce the number of deaths, since I sometimes aggro mobs unintentionally with RoF. When soloing a large number of mobs I can chain cast my two nukes, two dot's and RoF unless I'm interrupted a lot or need to heal. With higher RoF recast time I'll sometimes have to fill in with another spell... perhaps debuff (which isn't very useful on a group of mobs -- best used on single encounters).I find RoF less useful while grouping because dungeon fighting doesn't lend itself to AoEs.
