Okay, in DoF beta, the level 55 Fury spell Ring of Fire was just that, it caused flame animations to be around the Fury (that attacked any nearby mobs). In late beta and continuing today on Live, it still has the flame animations, but once something is being attacked by it, it now also has foggy snow animations, along with snowflakes! There are two problems with this, one which is very annoying:

1. This is the Ring of Fire spell, not Fire and Snow! It doesn't do any cold damage whatsoever! Why did the Devs change this so that it also shows snow? I could understand it if it did cold damage too, but it doesnt.

2. More importantly, the snow animation is really aggravating, because it obscures vision. This is really super annoying when in a group or raid, as it's hard to see other players and mobs very well. I've had people complain about this, but what can I do other than not cast a powerful AoE attack?

While the snow effect is pretty... it really serves no functional or design purpose for Ring of Fire spell. Developers: PLEASE return the spell to the way it was when first introduced in Beta, without the snow animations! :smileysad:

I don't know if this is just a difference between setting but this has always looked like smoke on my rig.  Which would make sense.

There are snowflakes hehe, however, the color is regardless (although I'm pretty sure it's white, I've seen it look like that on several computers) as it still makes a huge problem viewing things, especially for groups and raids.

Yes it is snowy like it has ice crystals if you look closely, but I guess it should look like "smoke" I think its better than just the dull fire look anyways.

Hope they update the gfx for this one too if you upgrade it just like the conj pets but I guess not its just too bad that this gfx are same for forge of ro at least their pet speaks ours is indeed a [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] ring of fire was hoping they would add a real pet like little dragon/drakota in the middle spitting fire that wouldve bee n fun.

Also can we PLEASE get some bugs added in our spell fx I mean irr swarm and kill swarm are screaming for bugs!!!
