Me and a friend of mine had an idea for fun, and tried it out. In the end it didn't work exactly as hoped, but I thought I share it with you guys. The idea was to make a macro, that would try to cast both our incombat rez on every member of our guild simultaneously, as a mean of fire & forget rezzing and see what happens.Well, we tried it, dumbed every 70 char of our guild in alphabetical order into a txt file, added some /target and some /useability and it was done .. time to test it out .. 3 gildies met in SiSa (one from the beginning of the alphabet, one from the end), 2 died horribly under my attacks (assisted by one of the local nscs), I pressed the button, first one was rezzed.. second one was in queue for the second rez.And there was much rejoicing

good idea. ill have to mess around with it tomorrow see how it works. would be nice if it worked. just click a botton and whoevers dead gets the rez. So for the target Name 1 2 3 4 ect... do you put the charcters names in? like just add all the members of your guild or raid force into the file and it will find the one thats dead? or does it work differently ~Ragefighter

we all know that there are a few certain people that indulge in dirtnaps far more than others on raids, so it would work very well if you just put those specific people in the macro, and save another hotkey for your other guildies that die a little less.

I've heard, but not tested, that /do_file_commands restricts itself to 16 commands per file. Not 16 lines, but 16 commands. So using your system you would only get through about 5 players before EQ2 stopped interpreting the macro file. Reading up on the EQ2Interface forums, it seems like there is absolutely no way around this.Your best bet is to either make sets of macro files and use each one individually on a hotbar key until you res someone, or map macro files to a slash command using "/alias replaceWithSlashCommand:do_file_commands c:/one.txt" and use the macros as very short slash commands of your choosing.

Could it be possable to make 6+ txt files and make a macro with 6 commands (each txt file containing 5 names)? or will that turn out the same way as just 1 big list. anyway i don't really end up using my rez's in raids too often....the dirge/pallys are always doing them so us healers can continue healing and doing other stuff. would be a nice macro for a dirge/pally to use though.
