![]() Has anyone noticed Soothe aggroing mobs on resists again? It isn't happening everytime, but it of course has happened at the most inopportune times, for example soothing the second to last named in Obelisk, the one surrounded by 6 ^^ fayes...dreaded resist sound goes off and hear comes 7 yellow mobs...my tank wasn't happy lol. I'm suspicious that it isn't necessarily something to do with Soothe, but it might be some sort of proc going off, but the only one I can think of is the proc from the bone clasped girdle, but that one has a damage associated to it and all i saw was resist. Would love to hear that I'm not the only one having this issue.

![]() I feel like it's just an inherent, intended drawback to soothe. It doesn't always happen, but seems to be about a 1/3 thing for me, or maybe even 50/50, that a resist will agro. I like it, personally. It prevents the ability from being overpowered, knowing that everyone once in a while you might get smacked down for using it. I use it like crazy though, I hear "wait, you guys can do what?" at least once a week, if not more. Totally underused ability. Message Edited by rckmer on 12-20-2006 11:36 AM

It seems to agro about 10% of the time it gets resisted. As for the use of it, yeah it is great... my guild makes fun of me for using it so much.

![]() I always just thought of this as a critical failure. It has been in since soothe came in and never has been removed. Used to be a problem with soothe proc'ing items but that was fixed a long time ago.

Soothe has always had that little - "Is the mob going to soothe, or jump down my throat?" adrenalin thing going for it, probably maxing subjugation or some such reduces the resist rate, but personally speaking because of the chance of failure I use it only for harvesting. For the particular mob you are using it on - well if you want to show off, you takes your chances:smileywink:The 3 mobs on each side are a completely straightforward proximity pull. Any tank that didn't solo to 70 can pull that off.

![]() I use it constantly, especially when soloing or trying to navigate dangerous areas without burning a totem... it does get resisted occasionally, and of those resists, I'd guess about 10% or so actually result in aggro. I do like impressing groups with it, but I always make sure they know I'm doing it so theyre prepared if it does resist and aggro. When it does, its usually on higher cons.
