Templar is a healer, thats it
smite doesnt hurt anything. buffs every class around the same good. but difference uses. overall easier to keep the group alive, but nothing else better

![]() Hi Extrakick. Ignore the posts above, they are all by tired and dejected Templars whose brains are addled by repeatedly hitting their heads against the same brick wall. Me, I’m also tired and dejected but I hope that my brain is still intact, though dwindling fast. The wall really hurts. To answer your questions: a) We are primarily healers and group based. We are the ones that keep all the other players in a group standing. Sure, if you have the time then cast a smite but if you ever let someone die because you were busy trying to blow things up, then you failed badly. b) The differences between Templars and Inquisitors are marginal in reality. However, Inquisitors tend to be more offensive and concentrate more on debuffs than buffs. Templars on the other hand tend to be defensive and buff their group more and have additional abilities based on healing. There are far more Templars than Inquisitors although this is more to do with there being less evil characters than good ones more than anything else. In summary, if you want to heal well and buff your group then yes, Templar is probably a good choice for your playstyle.

If you have a group of friends you group with a lot then a Templar is a good way to go. Soloing.... well there are plenty of threads on that already. I hear Inquisitors get some decent haste spells but I like my Templar and they work great in a group.

In a raid situation where the boss mob is wailing on your tank for 1k - 2k per hit or more Templars shine like the sun. In small groups they aren't really any better than any other priest class, in most cases. I find I get bored in small groups since there is little do do. Our heals generally way overpower the dps output of small group and solo mobs. Templar dps doesnt contribute all that much to taking the mob down faster. Solo Templars are slow to advance since it takes longer to drop each mob but with patience it can be done.
