Yes I am guilty and im sorry again if im in your party and you happen to be lower level than I am.

I caused 2 people in my party the other night to reset there computers because they thought there characters were bugged.  No one else in the party had the cherry to tell them that the grouped templar was demanding respect ever 30sec.  Nor did i have the gaul to say anything after they got back in our group.  We all had a very good laugh when they left and I need to buy a new keyboard due to the soda that was shot out of my nostrils.  I notice its alot more fun if they dont know.  I've done it people that do know and they get annyoned quick.  But i still do it.  Sorry again.  Its a funny spell but i wouldn't want my character doing /bow ever reset time.  And yes i have had higher level templars do it to me.

I would suggest a halo instead of the /bow but after being so mean to the newbs I think the devs should give me a pair of horns.

ah well.

I agree! This spell is too easy to grief with, and it's really annoying, I suggest it gets changed to something useful!

I still havent bought that 'fun' spell and I doubt I ever will.  I dont call making others bow to me 'fun' in any way, shape, or form.

I've yet to use it.  I do wish they would exchange it for something else.

I tried it once on an afk guy in the group and we almost wiped out because when the puller saw him bow, he thought he was no longer afk .

Thanks for the laugh, its been a long day.  I don't have this spell yet, but I think I'll get it for the shear novelty and will probably abuse the hell out of it as well....

Almost as bad as casting oddessy on random people trying to find someone foolish enough to have bought the stones...

I truly don't see how it's griefing whatsoever. From what I know, griefing is doing something that inhibits someone else's playing. It doesn't prevent them from doing anything whatsoever, and quite frankily, I love the spell. Some people get familiars, others can turn into flowing firey somethingornothers and we make people bow...

Actually a really simple change would make it more usefull.  Have an emote string be triggered for it.  %T bows in respect to the mighty templar Altir.

I cast it whenever I think about it but nobody has ever commented or noticed.  Spamming it sounds fun though.  Now I just have to get into a group where somebody is being a jerk.  Can't bring myself to just doing it to anybody.  I will never make a good dark side toon.

It seems that people either totally love this spell or hate it. Count me in that second group. Dumb dumb dumb.

Sheesh, critics! :smileytongue: It's a great way to alleviate boredom when you're standing around in a team bored while waiting for people to come back from AFK.  I find it the most amusing when using it on RL friends, though. :smileywink:

Ironically, my friend and I just rolled alts, and this time he's the Cleric.  I think I have some light-hearted revenge coming my way in the near future.

It can be fun, but not saying I wouldn't rather have a pet or horse. Last night I was grouped with an Iksar and I pulled it on her, she asked who did that, and I did /giggle, only to be followed by "X looks angry to you". All fun and games SMILEY

I think this spell stinks, I refuse to buy it. Compare to the Paladin's mount, that is sooo cool and even grants a run buff. The Wizards get a familiar which, while useless, is also cool. We get an enforced emote... Quite apart from being deeply naff it can be used to force a player into doing something they do not necessarily want to do. Any one forces me to bow to them or any other forced emote will find themselves without a group instantly.

Try actually reading what I wrote. You force me to do something, I consider it griefing, YOU get booted back onto the LFG listing...

Yah boot the cleric back to lfg listing... wouldn't that be the brightest thing in the world to do. Your group would hate you for it and would leave YOU lfg hahaha.. oh i love it i love it!  There isn't anything wrong with making a toon bow anyways, it is fun who cares it can't hurt u or make u go linkdead or make u gain debt... unless your stupid and go pulling mobs thinking that the person is back from afk (I love that, that is halarious), but it being so stupid and funny i would take the debt for it =P.  Anyways people just need to lighten up. Its a game made to be fun not taken seriously as mr. huff and puff here, but anyways peace yall and have fun with your spell it is what your given might as well use it up... If we get gimped by a forced emote we might as well nag as many as we can just so they will nag at verant then we will get something cool!

I don't have a problem kicking a cleric out of a group because I don't like them. It's not like I'm not a cleric too and it'll leave us with no healer for the party. Two clerics in a group don't stack too well anyway but that's a different thread....

I guess you guys havent had a bard make you dance yet. While it was kinda funny the first time, the third and on got very annoying and I was ready to leave the group just to make the guy stop.

I'd like a halo, or wings, or the hand of God to come down and point at me...anything other than forcing other players to do something.

I have no idea who thought that would be fun.  Most of the people I play with are pretty strong minded independent folks- forcing their character to do something is liable to generate some anger in response.  And I don't blame them for not wanting such a thing.

I will never buy that spell. If anyone ever uses it on me, the rare occasion that I *am* in a group with another templar, I probably would not group with them again, unless they managed to pull it off in a funny and/or graceful manner. Forcing someone to dance doesn't seem so bad. Musicians do it all the time IRL...feet start tapping, then the next thing you know, you can't help yourself. SMILEY But being forced to bow to someone brings all kinds of negative connotations. That being said, the OP post was pretty funny. So I'm not a perfect saint. SMILEY

I am glad another class gets a forced emote so I don't feel like the only one.  I just wish that it would show some text so it would be more clear.  Nothing more frustrating that to do something to somebody only to have it not be noticed.

"Dance monkey, Dance"  Now that is funny.  I would love to see a stuck up paladin be forced to lighten up and start dancing to the music.  It fits better with the class also.  I enjoy helping people and I don't really want to force them to respect me.

It doesn't really effect my enjoyment of the class though so I just enjoy reading the rants about it.

I can't believe some of you are so harsh about this. It's a game, why make things so serious. Your character is not affected, your movement is not affected, but yet you'd kick a healer out of a group. Don't get me wrong, I've NEVER had a hard time finding a group, so it's just you looking like you're having a fit.For the life of me I can't understand why someone would make an issue out of it. If I was being forced to bow, or dance, it wouldn't be a big deal whatsoever, as long as I'm killing things, doing what I need to do, and enjoying myself, then I've lost nothing. It's a bow, for God's sake... how is it griefing?

Since I RP, and am on a RP server, I do take it to heart. SMILEY My character wouldn't hang around someone who forced her to grovel/bow/kneel to them. Make sense? If I only cared about killing mobs and getting loot and doing the normal stuff of an MMORPG then I wouldn't care, but since I RP...it matters to me.And I wouldn't kick anyone, unless they were being REALLY offensive, like saying "bow b***ch!" and the like. I just wouldn't group with them the next time.

You shouldn't complain about this spell. At least it's more noticable than what Dirges get: Melancholy Melody. Now THERE is a spell with a barely noticable effect.Anyway, it's just the frivolous level 20 spell. More for novelty than anything.
