hi guys,

ive been playing eq2 since its start, but as a pally/assassin duo (yeah, i two box. groups always so hard to find). anyways, what brings me here is i want to experience the caster side of the game and was wondering: would a necro/warlock team be any good? can the tank pet tank?

now im not expecting to be soloing instances or anythign with the duo, just potter around, maybe take blue heroics? i know the tank pet wont be a replacement for a real tank or anything (as a pally main at least i hope it wont!) but it was an idea i was throwing around.

would that sort of thing be possible with a warlock/necor duo?

Any duo is possible but I don't think necro teams well with warlock.

I assume you want warlock because of its disease/poison nukes. But against single high bule heroics, by the time your duo finish debuffing, the tank pet will be dead already. So you end up using root+nuke, and you can't even use DoT or Rain type nukes. If you are fighting high blue group heroics, pet still couldn't tank. You have to go all out nuke and It becomes a race to see who die first.

If you don't plan to tackle with high blue heroics or above, there is really no point to 2-box. Necro alone can handle all.

Actually it would be a good 2-box with your paly and necro, provided you are good at controling both SMILEY
